I was mucking around with my LG Shine phone and changing the language. I changed it to French, then Spanish, and everything was fine. But then I changed it to Italian and it's gone crazy! The menu won't show all the options, and I can't select anything. The only thing I can do is reply to a message when one is sent to me.

Hi, To change your cellphone's language, please follow this instruction:
1. Turn ON your LG phone.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Select Settings or Setting and Tools (depending on your specific model). This is usually the icon on the bottom right of your menu.
4. Select Languages.
5. Select the desired language and click OK for your changes to take effect.
What is the actual problem, you didn't tell that. Is phone language is arabic or you wanna change the language. Actually set has English, Spanish and French. if you wanna change to arabic than download the jar file and install it
My Manual said to remove everything from unit including batteryWait around 10 to 12 seconds then replace back up battery BUT don't touch any of buttons on display after inserting battery, Turn unit over and You should see french/spanish/english on display & hit the key that is UNDER the language of Choice, then Re-conect unit to phone lines

From the main menu screen select the Settings icon (has a wrench and a screwdriver in an X formation)
Select the option labeled "Sistema"(Spanish)/"Systeme"(French)
Select the optino labeled "Lenguajes"Spanish)/"Langues"(French)
Select your preferred language setting
Confirm your selection by selecting the Back Arrow on the bottom left hand corner of the screen
To change the language used by the answering machine, look behind the base. There are four buttons in back, one says Language. Press it until you hear the language that you want.
Oh boy that's a real problem. I guess the menu is there but you don't understand it because it's in Spanish.
I don't know this particular phone but thinking logically, there are four things I would consider.
1) Find someone who can speak Spanish, there are lot of people who can.
2) Find someone who has the same phone that is in English and copy the key presses.
3) Use Google language tools to help you interpret the Spanish menu
4) Take you phone to a dealer
