Question about Brother DCP 130C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer ink I have just brought new ink for my printer. i brought every single colour brand new but when i inserted them into my printer it comes up saying that all the ink is empty again. i dont no what i have to do to get the printer to notice that ive changed the ink.

Try to go back to the very beginning. but this time insert the new ink correctly. install the cd driver camed with you printer, connect the usb, and so on... see if still the same happening or its going to be ok. hope that helps!

Di u unplug it ?
and is there a reset on the printer some were?
try unplug it for five minites take the cartridges out and clean the termanials with some like cotton tip put them back in and turn on and then tell me what its doing

Here's what worked for me,
Obviously check and make sure you deficiently haven't ran out of ink.

Turn the printer off Remove the colour cartridge
dab the cartridge point with a slightly damp tissue, if ink comes out then turn printer back on without the colour cartridge and try and print some thing in black and white.
turn printer off again and insert the colour cartridge
This strangely will get rid of the blinking light.
If there was no ink reissue on the tissue when dabbed, you'll need to get a new cartridge.

If problems persist I'd recommend getting the printer properly cleaned.

I just brought an epson tx55ow i have put in ink cartridges but messages comes up as ink cartridges cannot be recognized??


Sorry for asking an obvious question, but did you remove the plastic film tab from the cartrigdes before inserting them? This is a small piece of plastic film covering the print head (the copper coloured metalic part of the cartridge that faces down when inserted.

Hi there

For troubleshooting purposes,
Perform the following:

1. Open the printer and remove all ink tanks.

2. Insert a single ink tank in the printer then close the cover.

3. Confirm whether the printer recognizes the installed tank
properly. If it does, it will indicate it does not detect the other ink tanks, as
they are not currently installed in the printer.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 with another ink tank.

5. If the printer at any time indicates two of the same ink tanks are
installed, the cause will be the last tank installed. For example, if
you inserted an ink tank earlier, and you later inserted another ink
tank, and it said two of the same inks were installed, the cause of
the issue is the last ink tank.

My Business Inkjet 2280 will not print yellow properly. Its a brand new ink cartridge and my printing comes out striped. Ive tried cleaning and resetting, what do i do?


Try replacing the yellow Printhead. The printheads are inside the print carriage, usually a purple coloured flap, acessible from the top of the machine, and often confused with ink tanks.

There is a ink tank for each colour, and a seperate printhead for each colour....

I have just brought new ink cartridges for my printer but it will only print in black and white and colour will not come out, ive checked all the settings are set to print in colour but still nothing can...


check the catridge sensor and also rub the edge of it on a plain paper to see if the ink will come out. wipe the sensor with a damp cloth. if any of this did not work the catridge is bad go get a new one or return it.good luck

There is a small switch in the bottom of the carriage where the ink goes, if it is broken you will need a new carriage assembly.

Colour Ink


1. On your PC, go to Start, Programs (Windows XP: All Programs), Lexmark series.
2. Select the Solution Center.
3. When the Solution Center appears, click on the Maintenance button.
4. Select the option to Install a new print cartridge. The carrier should slide over at this point and allow you to insert and/or remove cartridges.
5. Make sure the correct cartridges are installed inside the printer first, then inform the software which cartridges have been installed. Note: This applies also to installation of a single cartridge.
6. Print the Print Alignment page to ensure the print quality is satisfactory.
7. Close the Solution Center.
