The set is going into shutdown most commonly caused by convergence in that model, if you know how to use a meter i can help you check some pico fuses to determine the problem. Otherwise you will need to call a repairman. Let me know if I can help

Ws 55859 has audio but picture is black

This unit does not have a lamp, but 3 CRT's. Odds of all three tubes failing at once is very remote. I would look at the voltages that run to your CRT boards and see if they are low or have a load. You should also check your circuit boards on the bottom of set to see if the CRT's have been leaking glycol. If the board looks wet ot corroded, you are dead in the water.

Tv will not turn on timer button is blinking green

Most common problem is the bulb burns out causing this to occur. The first thing to do is disconnect the power wait about 60 seconds then attempt to turn it on again. If this doesnt work then I would check the bulb. This can be done by removing the cover in the rear you will find a enclosure behind it that includes the bulb. Disconnect it and remove inspect the bulb if its bad it will be noticeable by it being melted black or damaged these can be purchased reasonably online and its a simple procedure. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Thanks for using Fixya

Blinking green light will not power up

My WS-55859, Did the same thing. Power went out, when it came back on the green light in front of TV would blink, but TV would not power on. Did some googling and saw multiple posts for "blinking Green light" or "Blinking Green light of death". Most of the posts pointed to replacing capacitors on DM Power board. I followed the direction and it worked great. Note the TV shop guy who did the soldering for me said the capacitors "looked fine" and they were not the problem. I couldn't tell the difference between a good or bad capacitor, so I asked him to swap them anyway. He did, I plugged the board back in, buttoned up the back of the TV. After 60 seconds Green light stopped and I started watching TV again... Here is the link to the best instructions I found (http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186).
