Bias on green is too high or current is too high^^^turn bias down on focus block^^^--curved lines(not retrace lines) convergance IC`s going or resistor(s) out of range^^^replace them^^^

Are they thin lines that are slightly curved? If so you green tube is shorting out, this can becaused by either the tube being bad or the crt board driving the tube is bad. let me know what they look like and i can help your more.

If its the crt board it should cost somewhere around $300-$400 if its the tube it will cost $500-$700 depending on the tech that comes out. Let me know if you need more info?

Yes, if you losen the clamp on the green crt board you should be able to carefully slide the board down off the tube. Be carefull not to brake the crt board and also make sure the set is unpluged. You are going to have a very purple picture due to no green but it will be watchable. let me know if you need anyhting else.

You can run the set for a long time like this wihtout a problem. As for it being the tube or the board, it could go either way, the appearance of the tube doesnt tell us anything. If you really wanted to find out if it was the tube or the board you could take one of the other crt boards and put it on the green tube and see if the green shows normal or comes up with that retrace lines again. Moving the crt boards are difficult because the wires are short, but it can be done. Good luck, let me know what you find.

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

TV turns on with a green screen with curved horizontal lines.

It seems you may have a serious problem with your video board. That's why you are getting those symptoms. It's better if you replace it asap!

My tv model ws65315 green ligth turns on and then turns off and the screen doesn't turn on

The TV probably has the -27 volt fuse blown. This fuse will blow when your convergence amp IC's have gone bad (STK-392-250)
Call a good TV Tech.

Tv mitsubishi ws-65315 doesnt turn on,only green light

Good Day, cutito35; 1. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds. 2. (Power LED may be on after plug in) check for no less than 4.4 volts DC at pin 3 of PC9A21 on the Power PCB, if low or missing replace PC9A21 part # 268P058020. 2.This model is also equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB. Good Luck, big IRISH.

Projection TV keeps shutting down

I just took my Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" in to be repaired for the same problem and was told that it needed a new main circuit board part number 930b899005 as was told they wanted to charge me $1100.00. So I told them not to do the repair and picked up my tv and found that same part at Sears parts for only $225.00. Some of these TV repair places are theifs.
