Question about HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer

2 Answers

Printing Backwards! On two different days last week I went to print out two new documents I had just written in Microsoft Works Word Processor. They were printed out in mirror image. Any document created in Word Processor before that date will still print out correctly. Also any direct copying comes out fine. Could I have hit one key on my laptop (HP Pavillion dv5030us) that set these two documents to print in mirror image, or is there a setting on the printer that could have done that? I can't seem to fix this dilemma. HELP!!!!!!

Yes!!! This has just started happening with my L7680, complete mystery. On some documents its fine, but others are mirror inage and no colour and VERY slow printing. Some one help, please ! I keep changing printing preferences to mirror off from control panel, but it still happens on certain docs, and always slow.

I have the same problem. Mine began right after running some malware virus removal software. I had been infected by a Trojan phishing virus. Maybe there is a connection?

Have had the L7680 for several months with no problems. Starting a couple of weeks ago the mirror was set to ON by default on all documents and I have to change before every print. Have not yet located a solution.

As shainshock pointed out the problem is with the driver.

The solution has been posted on this thread:

This is when it is mirroring itself. Ours did this and we uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it worked fine after that. I don't know what else you could do I am sure some of the experts will but I do know this worked for us.

When printing, sentences over lap so the document is unreadable. Also it may only print the first line of a document.

Hi,

I've seen word documents do this sometimes and fixing it has worked differently each time.

1) Open the document and press CTRL + A (select all) on the keyboard and then CTRL + C (copy), then start a new document and press CTRL + V (paste). Save the new document as something different and try printing again.

2) Open the document again and select all and copy again, but this time open wordpad (a different program to Microsoft Word) by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > Wordpad, and paste the text into wordpad. This may change some of the formatting. Now, select all again, and copy, and start a new word document and paste.

Copying the text out of word and back in seems to work more often. Sometimes the best program to copy out to is notepad, but you lose pretty much all of the formatting when you copy back into word.

3) If this doesn't work, you could try to update your printer drivers, and if that doesn't work, as a last resort, you can delete the printer and create it again via the Control Panel > Printers.

Epson RX580 has been printing fine after installing complete set of authorized genuine Epson cartridges last week. I printed 12 DVDs and switched over to printing on paper and it worked fine for a couple...

Hi there, I would simply pull the ink cartridges out completely and then put them back in. It should act as if you are putting in new cartridges and go through the install process again. I hope this works for you!

Deskjet 5550; Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007; not printing

That is strange
Try changing the default to a different printer (Microsoft XPS Document Writer) see if it prints to it...

Then (If that works) try switching the 5550 back to default.

If that don't do it, uninstall thee printer, reboot and reinstall the printer.

In this printer you can "CLEAR" the memory and cancel all jobs, do this first and see if this resolves your problem.

I need to change printing pages from last to first page first

the last printed page is always on top. For a long document, it takes a while to resort and place the first page first! This is how you can get Microsoft Word to reverse the print order and save all the trouble.
I have spent so much time resorting documents after printing. On my printer, the last page printed is always on top. By printing the last page first (reverse order), the document is already correctly sorted.
Here is how to do it:
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Open the document to be printed
3. Click the Tools menu
4. Select Options
5. Click the Print tab
6. Check the Reverse Print Order option
7. Select OK
Now, all your documents will prevent in reverse order. What a lifesaver!!!

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Check the print processor settings in the advanced tab of the printer properties. This should be set to Winprint, and not anything else.
