Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

Xbox 360 constant update

As recently as last week it seems that when I put my games in to play I'm required to "Update" my 360.

That's fine and all but I find myself having to update EVERY single day/time I play a game.

Now my question is:

*Is my 360 actually recieving these constant updates?
*Or is my 360 just updating and then losing the update after I'm done playing?

This is getting rediculous. What if my connection goes out? Is my 360 gonna stop me from playing these games from now on until I get the update?!

Anybody else have this problem? How did u solve it....PLEASE

Hi,

The deal with updating is that it is required if you are connected to Xbox Live, and therefore required to play online. The Xbox is definitely receiving the updates, otherwise it would not let you into the game at all.

The good news is that if you lose your connection at some point, the Xbox will not know there is an update available and you will be able to play your games in the single player mode. If you are only interested in playing single-player and don't want the Xbox Live features, just unplug your connection before you start the Xbox.

The x`box was saying it can't read the disc. contact u

If you have the new kinect xbox 360 dashboard and you cannot get your xbox 360 console to read your game discs or DVDs, you are not alone. An update that was recently applied through Xbox Live makes your discs unreadable.
Remove the update by navigating to:
System Settings->Memory->STOP HERE!
You should see your Hard Drive highlighted, if not move to it and then enter this on your controller:
X,LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X
Delete System Update will appear, make sure there is no media in your disc drive and select YES. You system will restart and appear to hang DO NOT TURN IT OFF OR MESS WITH IT!
After a couple minutes your system will start and you should be able to play discs again.

XBOX 360 Arcade, Game Driver San Francisco unable to load or play from the disc. Loads of memory aailable, Cleared cache. Only having prblems with this game. All other games work fine ?

It could be that it is a pre-owned game, I have had problems with pre-owned games, and have bought a new game that has not been used. Also I have just recently bought that game and had to do and update to the xbox 360 when trying to play that game, you should have got a message to update the system when trying to start the game.

Does x box 360 need upgradation to play the new games launching every year

Yes it does -- however, any new game that requires that your XBox 360 be updated to play will include the update on the game disc. You don't need to download updates yourself -- the games that need the update will have it on them.

Bought Lips recently and played it fine first

The game was released broken. There is an update on xbox live that fixes it. So you pay twice, once for the game and once for xbox live. If you don't have xbox live or no internet you simply can't play. In other words you got robbed. Nice scam huh?

My Xbox 360 wireless remotes lose sync constantly when i'm playing and then re-sync by themselves. Why is this happening so much?

Might be a problem with your new updates, try buying a new HDD. Or reformat your memory(HDD) then re-update the latest dashboard and the drivers that are required.

New game wont play update required what does this mean

You need to connect to Xbox Live to update the game. It might have a patch to make it backward compatible if it's an Xbox game that you're trying to play on the 360.

My son saved money and bought a Xbox 360 Arcade. He did not realize that he could not play his xbox games on his new system. Is there an upgrade to allow old xbox games to be played on on the xbox 360

Some game are compatible with the new xbox 360. They are called backwards compatible and you do need to flash upgrade the OS on the new xbox 360 system.

You need to go to the xbox website and go to support and download the flash update then burn it to disk and put it on the xbox to update the software. Again not all old games are compatible with the new xbox system. If your buying used games like I do make sure it says bc next to the title before buying them.
Here is the link to the upgrade
