Question about Philips Magnavox 27MS343S 27" TV
This TV grossly overscans in the H and V. Can I fix it without spending a fortune? Magnavox MWC13D5 13-inch
This TV has a pixel resolution of 1366x768p
It will accept a 1920x1080i input from a high def source , but running a PC at 1920x1080i/p will cause the problems you describe, depending on what the PC is sending to the TV, because PC signals are not the same as high def.
Your PC should be set to a resolution as near to 1366x768 as possible. My PC allows 1280x768 and 1360x768. Try one of these for best results.
There are no settings on the TV to solve this problem.

This would consitute a covergence board issue and would need to be looked at by a qualified Tv repair technition prefer a Autherized repair technition at that such as myself. You can try if you have the expertise to repair this yourself but you need the tools to do it. Also what most people do not know and what the factory does not tell you there is a service menu you can load on this to run the convergence in Auto to try to correct this. The only bad thing about tell you that there is this menu is I cannot give up the instructions because you could make your situation worse and then come back and pass liability. So in saying that I do think your should seek a professional it might cost you areound $89-$150 to fix but well worth it because its done with qaulity. Thanks
