Google "replacement screens" and see what you get. You'll have plenty of choices. Replacing the screen can be a chore. You'll have to remove every board and other parts to get to the screen. You may be able to find a video on You Tube to show you how it's done.

I have a Nice Samsung HD wide screen television that started making noise last week and this noise got proggressively louder and louder to the point that we cannot watch it now. It sounds like an internal...

Give me model number (it is on back and also should be on right side of cabinet)

I suspect it is a DLP set with a bad color wheel.

Wheel faces lamps in DLP type sets and bearings in motor fail causing either high pitched whine/fan like sound.

If wheel shatters set will shut down.

There are instructions and videos on You Tube for replacement of the kind of part---do it your self repair.

Look at photo and add comment here with model number.

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Does my 32 inch Bravia have a fan? There is a noise in the back of my tv that sounds like a fan running.

There are no fans inside your 32 inch Bravia. I don't know the sound you are asking about. Is it a high pitch squeal? Is it a low volume humm? In either case you may hav e a bad filter capacitor or a problem in the Dolby noise reduction filter. In any of these cases, the filter cap in any location on the board can create the first sign of a problem. For starters, always suspect your filter caps.

A hole in the back should work as long as you have a few inches between it an a wall. as well as an inch or so around the screen.

If it is two-channel sound, the 'line' inputs should be color-coded as red (right) and white (left).

Panasonic 50 inch plasma

You should call for warranty service. If the set is very new try to get it exchanged.

There are some very heavy duty power supplies and many high power matrix drivers used in Plasma sets.

The description sounds like the noises are very loud. It is normal with any of these TV sets, if you put your ear right up to the back of the set at the vent holes you will hear some noises. These would be some acoustic harmonics from the power supplies and related circuits.

I am wondering if it is possible that there is something that is becoming less stable. If the set is working very well without any failure, so-far this is a very good sign. Before it gets to be a problem, I would have this checked.

On many models of these sets, they use fans for cooling specific areas. A bad fan can cause noise.

You have a cracked panel and the gasses inside have escaped. The buzzing noize you are hearing the the current flowing throught the panel. It will be cheaper buying a new TV than buying a replacement panel. But if u wanna check out the price look up your model on parts.com
