Mits. 62525 code 34 lamp abnormality

Can you guide me on how to get this fixed. I bought the service manual online to help me out. I truly hope the 2 capacitors mentioned is the true problem. I's hate to junk this TV if it was only 2 small capacitors. Please help me...thanks!

You need more than 2 capacitors there are 8 that need to be changed, You can get the V26 DLP power pwb repair kit at the following link which has the proper capacitors and instruction CD.

We have a mitsubishi WD-62525 tv and we turned it on and after a while it turned itself off and then we got a continiously flashing red status light! what does this mean & what do we need to do to fix...

Mitsubishi TVtroubleshooting
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

Tv says airflow restriction tv will turn off. there is no airlfow restriction

I did not find a reference to airflow restriction in the service manual.
I don't know if this will help, but here are the error codes:

The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not manually switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to “12” No Error.
Press the front panel “DEVICE” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and hold for 5 seconds to
activate the Error Code Operational Check. The LED will then flash denoting a two digit Code.
Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is “32”, the LED will flash three times, pause, and then flash two times.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
4. Error Codes
The Error Code designations are listed below:
Error Code Probable Cause
12 No error detected
22 Recovery from momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover open
33 Air Filter Cover open
34 Lamp abnormality
35 Chassis Fan failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37 Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
38 Excess Lamp Temperature
39 Excess DMD Temperature
41 Short Detected
44 DVI Cable (between Chassis and Engine) disconnected

Mitsu wd 62525.no picture only jumping horizontal lines.red blinking light came on.i replaced lamp now red blinking stopped but still no picture. error code 12

I would suspect the powersupply. Check 2 electrolitic capasitors on the powersupply board, I believe they are 25v at 1500mf.
They will be noticable bad by the bulging tops. This unit is a nightmare to work on so if you have any doubt of your abilities, play it safe and call a Mit. Service repair facility.
Hope this helps,

Mitsubishi WD62526 - Error/repair code

Error Code Probable Cause
12 No error detected
22 Recovery from momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover open
33 Air Filter Cover open
34 Lamp abnormality
35 Chassis Fan failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure

remove the back and lamp (make sure the lamp door is on) turn the tv on and look to see if the fan is running (keep you hand out of the tv when doing this - as the lamp connectors are empty) if the fan does not start - replace lamp - the connector is located under lamp housing connector JA - measure the red wire and ground (any metal part) for 12v at turn on - if 12v replace fan - if no 12v check the power pcb

Status Light Flashes Red

first did you getthe lamp from miths and if notyou could have bought a bad lamp. you need to get a lamp form mits if you did not buy from them. if you did buy from mits have them replace the lamp it has a 90 day warranty. try hitting the menu and device / input buttons for 5 sec and repost the blink code. it is a 2 digits blink code. (ex. 23 or 33 or 26 like that)
