Question about Boston Acoustics MicroMedia Computer Speakers

Micro Media Power supply

Where do I find a place to order a power supply for my Micro Media speakers. The part number is 7000596 or 7000639 but I can't find anywhere to order it. It's a 12 volt 1.54 amp external power supply.

Thanks.

Same here! Need power supply for Boston Acoustics MicroMedia computer speaker system.
(Boston must have 'outsourced' the contract on the power supply, because evidently it is inferior to the system itself!)

Loud humming sound

Make sure that the input connection ground is good. If that does not cure the loud hum then you have a power supply issue.

Hi Kim, My name is Steven and I will help you order your new cables for the 2 sattelite speakers that go to your Micro media system(Model # 7000596) This is your model # RIGHT ?? 1 is a red RCA jack- and 1 is a White RCA jack(that plug into the subwoofer cabinet !! The other end should be a slanted/or angled two prong looking plug that plugs into the back of each sattelite speaker. Call this phone number at Boston Acoustics (201) 762-2099 - this is thier parts and ordering dept./Tech support. Tell the representative on the phone that you would like to Order Part # 037-000-504. Just wondering what the power supply output JBL Media 3 Speakers

I have a pair of Media 3 JBL computer speakers. I am using a generic 12V DC adapter rated at 1000mA with a positive tip polarity, and it works fine.

What kind of external power supply does the media speaker needs?

Juster-Avia 3D-107 Media speakers.

I wanted to know what kind of external power supply it needed. I open the case and saw 4 diodes which tells me is a bridge rectifier circuit. I also looked at the filter cap and saw ????uF at 28 volts. Therefor, I did the Scientific Wild *** Guess( A.K.A. SWAG METHOD)
12 volts AC out at 1.6 amps or higher.

Power supply issues

hi there, i recommend replacing the entire board. once you have a short like this, the micro board itself will become useless. the thin micro circuitry has become separated within the layers, preventing a closed current transfer. its best to order a new canvas so to speak.

Adapter/power supply cord to hp speakers

Should be a marking on the speakers for polarity and voltage. Can get a 120VAC to DC adapter at radio shake.
