Question about Boston Acoustics MicroMedia Computer Speakers

Micro Media Power supply

Where do I find a place to order a power supply for my Micro Media speakers. The part number is 7000596 or 7000639 but I can't find anywhere to order it. It's a 12 volt 1.54 amp external power supply.

Thanks.

Same here! Need power supply for Boston Acoustics MicroMedia computer speaker system.
(Boston must have 'outsourced' the contract on the power supply, because evidently it is inferior to the system itself!)

Loud humming sound

Make sure that the input connection ground is good. If that does not cure the loud hum then you have a power supply issue.

Hi Kim, My name is Steven and I will help you order your new cables for the 2 sattelite speakers that go to your Micro media system(Model # 7000596) This is your model # RIGHT ?? 1 is a red RCA jack- and 1 is a White RCA jack(that plug into the subwoofer cabinet !! The other end should be a slanted/or angled two prong looking plug that plugs into the back of each sattelite speaker. I brought pair of Dell A215 speakers w/o power source. I tried several power supply cords that fit the outlet. They won't work. Do I need to buy a SPECIFIC power supply cord? Is there such a thing as a...

Don't just randomly plug power supply's in; check and see what it needs.
It should be printed somewhere on the device how many DC volts it needs.
If it needs 9volts, get a 9volt power supply.
If you don't have a power supply the same size as it needs, order one off of Amazon, or eBay.

Need to buy a power supply

As far as I know, this needs a pretty standard 1-amp 12 volt adapter. Radio Shack is probably your best place to find one since they have a supply with interchangeable tips. That way you can find the one that matches the speaker power jack. (If you're not in the US, you can check local electronic supply stores for a suitable replacement.)

Just wondering what the power supply output JBL Media 3 Speakers

I have a pair of Media 3 JBL computer speakers. I am using a generic 12V DC adapter rated at 1000mA with a positive tip polarity, and it works fine.

What kind of external power supply does the media speaker needs?

Juster-Avia 3D-107 Media speakers.

I wanted to know what kind of external power supply it needed. I open the case and saw 4 diodes which tells me is a bridge rectifier circuit. I also looked at the filter cap and saw ????uF at 28 volts. Therefor, I did the Scientific Wild *** Guess( A.K.A. SWAG METHOD)
12 volts AC out at 1.6 amps or higher.
