Question about TV Receivers & DVRs

1 Answer

KLH Digital, KT2006 color television

When I turn the t.v. on, I hear the initial sound of the tv turning on signifying there is power. But there is no audio or visual after that.

I've tried the instruction manual's troubleshooting suggestions but nothing changed.

There was no warning or prior occurances. So, I don't have a clue to what it might be. Maybe the transformer, tube, ????

any suggestions?

Emerson TV. Why does sound fluctuate between 100 and 0?

hello there I wasn't able to decipher a question out of the things that you said how ever I imagine that you just would like the volume to stop fluctuating without you initiating it. well needless to say in any event your television set is malfunctioning, the problems that it is experiencing is not really something thats user serviceable. If you feel like this is something that you can service then more than likely will need a board replacement, in a lot of television sets there are only two to three boards in the first place.

are you using cable television or over the air programming? if you are using over the air programming there may not be much you can do in this situation besides get the unit repaired or get a new TV, on the contrary if you utilize digital cable television or some other digital form of television that requires the signal to be decoded first and then sent to your television then you're in luck, that's because most digital cable service providers or digital television service providers will provide you with a box that decodes their signals, this box also has inputs and outputs.
my advice is to purchase an external speaker or sound device and plug it into your digital service box and disconnect the audio cables from the television, then the sound should only be coming from your sound bar/device and not the television.

Good luck and thanks

Celestial HD Digital Television Receiver DVB8800HD

Normally, there are 2 ways to hook these devices up. One is the component cable that has 3 colors, red white and yellow. these color codes match an aux. input on the TV (or vid1 or vid2) You need to change the TV input to whichever you used by the remote or maybe under Ch2 (4,3,2,vid2, vid1, aux,111,110,etc) The other way is to use the round 4-5 pin S-video instead of the yellow jack, that is self explanetory. The 3rd way and this depends on your TV and receiver is to use the HDMI, composite or DVI cable connection. These are only for Hi def players and will be either a large multi-pinned computer type plug, 5 colored/lead "octopus" cable, or a smaller D shaped high density cable with the row of contacts inside the plug. In any case you need to tell the TV which input you are using.
Once you get the TV to show a picture of the receiver, then you autoprogram the receiver with the remote under setup or other menu.

TV WILL NOT TURN OFF

Greeting inmiltown,

It sounds like your approaching the end of your lamp's life. Most projection televisions have internal lamp timers. These lamp timers usually give you time to buy a new bulb before it needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Color adjust on panasonic tau flat screen ct36sl13g

Good day.

Try to have the circuitry of your tv resoldered because I think there are loose connections in the unit causing a single color to be dominant.
