The power supply circuit board has probably gone bad. Repair cost for an in home service call by the major players would be about 450$ plus tax usually with a 90 day guarantee.

Sounds like one of the plugs did not go back it properly on the DMD board or the ballast board. Check all connections.

I had a similar problem where it displays "PLEASE WAIT" for several seconds alternating with blocky colors for several seconds and continuing anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

I inferred from a couple of sources that the TV is booting up when it says "please wait" by reading data from flash memory. I was able to fix my problem by resetting the data in memory to factory default values using this procedure from the service manual (wait until the TV is working before trying this):

Turn on the POWER.
Set the VOLUME to minimum.
Press both VOL. DOWN button on the set and Channel button (1) on the remote control for more than 2 seconds.
After the finishing of the initializing of shipping, the unit will turn off automatically

It could be the color wheel in the TV that you are hearing. There is a color wheel that spins in order for you TV to display colors and if it is struggling to stay at the right speed, it could cause the sound that you are hearing.

The fans also make some sound as when they spin and will remain on for a few minutes after the TV is turned off in order to cool the TV.

Hello, i just saw your post.. i know this reply is so late, and you might have probably found a solution. But i will still give you some guides to help you figure this out.

(1) First and foremost, make sure your connections are set up properly (exactly as in the manual). most HDTV'S require a DIGITAL OPTICAL CABLE to be connected from TV to receiver. Read the manual on your TV and see the required wires for external audio

(2) go to your TV audio settings. Get to the speaker option, and turn it off ( this assumes your expensive TV is an HDTV). By turning it off, you signify that you want the sound option to come only from the speakers.

Sounds like you should check the remotes in the area that might have similar codes.

i had the same problem, my 2 year old was playing with the remote. Trust me it took me a while to figure it out.

Sounds like many different problems maybe related thou. You say 6043a but you are under WD-62327. So this info is for that.1. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 also you could need.. Suspect the Signal PCB part # 930B923002 if no video keeps up
