My scanner will not transmit digital trunking channels

I have the same problem. A good shake restores the digital channels to working order for a few hours again.

I think I have a cold solder joint or similar internal problem. I've only had it a few months.

Since a quick shake cures it, I'm not going to return it yet. But it could be that there is something going on with the internals.

Regency R1077 base scanner can not delete old frequencies to reprogram scanner

Press "Manual", then press digit key ("0/10" thru "9") that corresponds with the channel to be changed ("0/10" = ch10). Next, press the digit and decimal point keys to enter the frequency in megahertz (Mhz) to be stored in the channel. To store 453.100 Mhz in channel 2, you would press "Manual", then "2". Press the following keys in order: "4" "5" "3" "." "1" "0" "0", followed by pressing the "Enter" key. Repeat this process for up to 10 channels. If you wish to clear unused channels, you should be able to select the channel, then enter "." followed by the "Enter" key.

This scanner will only accept frequencies between 30.000Mhz and 599.999 Mhz. Attempting to input frequencies outside this range will result in an error message.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thanks.

Need hep programming a new uniden bcd396xt scanner

Unfortunately, you didn't specify if you needed assistance with programming digital or conventional radio systems.. but here is the info for conventional systems. Since a conventional system is really a collection of frequencies, the first thing you need to know is the frequency for each channel you want to program.

  1. Go to the Program System menu and choose New System .
  2. The scanner will prompt you for the System Type. Select Conventional .
  3. When the scanner prompts you confirm, tap YES .
  4. The scanner creates the system with a default name. Select Edit Name if you want to change it.
  5. If you need to change any of the system properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel group Each conventional system can contain up to 20 channel groups, and all systems must contain at least 1 channel group.

  1. On the Program System menu, select the system you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Group menu and select New Group .
  3. If you need to change any of the channel group properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel in each group Each conventional system can contain up to 1000 channels in each group, and all groups must contain at least 1 channel.

  1. On the Edit Group menu, select the channel group you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Channel menu and select New Channel .
  3. Input the frequency for this channel in MHz.
  4. If you need to change any of the channel properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

I know that if you turn your scanner off over a few days you can loose your frequency # or it will lock the channels out. if they or l/o just unlock then. I also know that all police and ect. went digital, you would to have a scanner that is digital. When they changed to digital some for the frequency # have changed. I had to get the new ones and put them in.

Change from analog to digital

There are digital scanners available, but their use may be limited, depending on what you want to listen to.

A lot of scanning enthusiasts have spent a lot of money, only to discover their new digital scanner is useless.

Many emergency services are on digital BUT, they are also encrypted, so even with a digital scanner, encrypted transmissions cannot be heard.

Before parting with your cash... do some research on what digital signals can be heard in your area, keeping in mind that although some digital services are currently transmitted 'in the clear' there may be plans to encrypt them later.

Hope this helps.
