    Faint printing in black

  • Anonymous Feb 11, 2009

Mine prints faded/faint and uneven black fonts on the left 1/3 of the page, but the rest of the page prints OK. This is even with a new toner, and the printer has not even had 700 pages through it! Piece of ****. Never buy a Samsung again. Color printing is OK and even.

There are no print heads.
Only a print drum.
And cleaning it yourself might damage it.
I would check Samsungs webpage, but chances are that if the drum
is messed up you will need to order a new one.

Majenta is not printing, all cartridges changed and cleaned still no majenta

Blocked print head nozzles
You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

My black ink is not working please tell me how to clean it

Hi

To clean it, remove the ink cartridge and rub the print head into a plain paper with rubbing alcohol until ink flows. Then run the print nozzle for 2 time for further cleaning the print head. Then try to print again.

Another way is to soak the print head only into a how water for 5 minutes until ink loose up and ink flows, rub the print head into a plain paper with rubbing alcohol until ink flows. Run the print nozzle and then try to print again

The bottom half of the text is not printing (as if it's being cut off)

Your question does not tell me what printer you have so I will assume it a modern HP made after 2004.

HP Printers use a ink cartridge and this is connected by a tiny pipe to the print head that sprays the ink on the paper. Your problem is with the Print head and not the ink supply.

There is a remote chance that some paper felt or paper dust, or even a stray piece of tape has blocked the lower part of the print head. I assume that this is the black print head, so that is the head marked with the letters K Y (Black and Yellow) on most modern HP Printers. Try to clean this using the clean or clear functions found in the maintenance section of the Printer Software. If that does not do the job then follow the instruction to replace the print head but rather replace the print head use a clean cotton pad with a few drops of alcohol to gently clean the print head and replace it as per the instructions. If that does not do the trick then the bad news follows....

Because the lower part of the Print Head gets the most use (., and underlining all use the bottom part) its also the first part of the Print Head to fail. If you live in the U.S. or Canada the print heads are not expensive. Go out and buy just the Black (K Y) if that is 80% or more of your printing use. If you are doing a lot of color it pays to buy the two heads together in one package.

Printer not printing black

The head may need to be removed and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab or you can purchase a head cleaning kit with instructions. The toner sometimes needs replacement

Epson R230 printing unwanted lines

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

Not printing black

First of all the print head is clogged just because you have tried to print repeatedly while some of the cartridges are empty. This results ink burn in the nozzle and clog. My recipe: Heat some drinking water in the kettle (70-80 C). Put the head in it and shake gently several times until ink is completely clean (10 minutes). Change the water do the same again. Change the water again (70-80 C) this time put a spoon full of apple vinegar (becomes a natural acidic solution very dilute) shake again, clean with cotton stick. I did it and started to love my mp800 again as much as I just bought it, all colours come back and started to print superior photos again...... Do not touch heads' copper poles and cartridges poles because of the static electric they may mulfunction and colours may becaome totally mixed for a short while...
