Question about RCA M2000 MP3 Player

My mp3 is just straight up broken

So i have a 1GB M2000 mp3 player and every time i turn it on it says "RCA" but then it just keeps saying RCA over and over wont play any music or even show the music it just keeps saying RCA and it wont turn off unless i take the battery out.........what can i do?
im lost without my music!!

Out dated anyway...replace; cost between $9.99 to $14.99 (512) or $14.99 to $24.99 (1gig) or higher. Walmart or other dept stores..even walgreen have them on sale. Most cheap units cannot be repaired or cost to much to do so. Please forgive me if you don't agree. This is not a reflection on your ability to purchase a higher cost MP3..just a cost saving solution.

first you should try and locate the files on the mp3 player all the music and whatever else is on there and back it up to the hard drive, then goto the rca website and find the latest firmware for your player and download it and reload the firmware that should get everything back to factory defaults

My Opal Mp3 Player

plug it to your pc. go to my computer. double click on the opal icon. you will then see internal storage. Right click on that and hit format. Then it should work.
