My mp3 player wont turn on. It has one AA battery, and It says "USB connected" whenever I hook up to the computer, and it shows me my song list the device (I use real player). But when I turn it on, nothing. I have the back button on to "off" and Im about to give up and buy a new one. Anyone know the problem?

have you tried a brand new battery.  since you can read what's on the player with your comp back up your muic.  l will locate manual to see about resetting.  This brand isn't known for quality anyways.  a 30 dollar mp3 player.  You can get a 2GB nano at a pawn shop for 50-80 bucks.  At least you can save your music.  When did it stop showing display and not working?  What were the circumstances?

Try a firmware upgrade.  I'm trying to look that up right now so that you don't need to thumb through the garbage. everywhere i've read about malfunctions takes an upgrade but still crashes days or weeks later.

    support.rcaaudiovideo.com -
     "Firmware:
There currently are no firmware upgrades available for your Lyra device. The firmware that was installed on your Lyra from the time of purchase is the most recent. Please check back again for future updates for your Lyra. "

Keep checking back tho.  They only have the usb drivers..  I would email and call customer support and see if you can get your original firmware emailed or snail mailed to ya.  So you can reinstall it.

Pause function for RCA Lyra RD1072A.

This player does not have the true pause you are looking for. The iPod Nano - 2nd generation - has a true pause - once you hit pause it will stay paused and even go to sleep. When you revive the player it will leave off where you left it.

You need to switch the lock off on your LYRA. It is located on the back of the device between the pictures of a key and the word "off".
