How do you replace a laptop screen l555d serial number...its a toshiba.

1. Turn off the computer and remove the battery.
2. Loosen the plastic frame bordering the Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7005 Screen. This frame is attached to the notebook's back shell and holds the screen in place. Pry open two to six small rubber seals from the frame and undo concealed screws.
3. Detach the frame after removing all screws. Hold the bezel from either side of the screen and gently pull it away from the screen and toward you. If the bezel seems to be stuck, find any points of attachment, such as clips or hooks, and undo to detach it from the outer shell. Work with your fingers and go all around the frame to release and completely detach it.
4. Free the LCD panel from its position in the notebook's lid. When you remove the bezel, you will notice that the screen is held in place, enclosed in hinges. Undo screws from either side of the screen to release its attachment to the lid. Place a finger at the top center of the screen to keep it from falling down as you remove the screws. With all screws undone, tilt the panel and lower it face down onto the keyboard.
5. Disconnect the power cable and video cable from the screen. The power cable connects the screen's power source of the lcd inverter to the backlight lamp attached to a side of the panel. Unplug cables from either end of the inverter board and unscrew the board from the base of the screen. Next, find and unplug the video cable a broad, ribbon like arrangement taped to the back of the panel. Pull at the plastic head of the cable to detach it.
6. Remove the screen. With the screen's cables unplugged and inverter board removed, it is completely detached from the notebook's display assembly and may be safely removed. Pick up the panel from the keyboard and keep it to a side.
7. Orient the replacement screen by bringing it to the work area and aligning it to the laptop's shell. Gently rest the screen on the keyboard and attach the power cable and the video cable. Raise the screen and attach the inverter board to its base. Plug in the inverter board's cable to the screen's backlight lamp. Screw the screen in place and reorganize the display assembly.

Spilled coffee on the keyboard and now only some keys are working, some are not, and some are stuck. How do I get the keyboard off?

Open the laptop, pry up the right hand edge of the strip above the keyboard and lift it slowly working from right to left so it snaps out of the base unit. You will then see 2 screws on above F5 and the other above F10, remove these screws and lift keyboard out far enough to detach the ribbon cable underneath.

Broken Inspiron 1525 Lid

hello

To fix your laptop follow the steps given below.
  • First of all as your hinges are broken you have to buy a pair of hinges for your laptop model.
  • This hinge includes the whole assembly made up of metal with a part which attaches your screen to the laptop.
  • Now you have to open up your laptop from the backside and disassemble the upper side.
  • This will make you see the part which detaches tour screen from the laptop.Just remove the screws and your screen will be completely detached.
  • now you can replace the damaged hinges with the new one.
  • you have to remove four screws for one hinge. Two screws supporting the screen and two attaches the screen with the laptop.
  • so remove these screws and replace the hinges and pack the laptop again.
And the lines are basically due to the movement of loose connector. So while fixing please fix the connector also.

Thank you

Replacing screen on toshiba sattilite a215-s6816

There are screws that fix the hinges to the base of the laptop, usually two screws per hinge and these are located on the back of the laptop, remove them. Remove the panel on the laptop that is adjacent to the bottom edge of the LCD screen, this may be a single part of the plastic around the keyboard, may have to remove the screws on the bottom of the laptop, carefully unclip the plastic surround around the keyboard.
There will be two connectors attached to the LCD, one for the video signals and the other for the backlight power, near the bottom edge of the LCD screen, detach these before you remove the LCD.

Occasional colored vertical lines on the screen at startup

base on our experience.... you are looking at a possible screen problem. Is it serious? yes as the screen replacement costs almost half of the total cost of the laptop.

but no harm trying this

1. remove the screws from the LCD bezel, remove the screen
2. detach the cable and reinsert them all both the inverter and the flex cable.

inverter is the circuit usually located at the bottom of the screen and the flex cable is the ribbon that runs from the laptop to the back of the lcd.

reseat them and see if your display improves

Replace Keyboard for Acer Laptop 2414WLCi

Hey,
Here it is step by step. (Depending on make and model, disassembly may vary slightly.)
1) Remove the battery.
2) Remove ALL of the screws from the bottom of the laptop.
3) Remove any screws on the back of the laptop.
4) Fold the screen back as far as possible then remove the small plastic caps on the hinges.
5) Remove the piece above the keyboard, with the power button on it.
6) Lightly lift up the keyboard and underneath it you will find a ribbon cable attached to the motherboard, detach the keyboard and replace it with the new one.
7) Do exactly the opposite of what you just did to reassemble.

:) Hope I helped!
