I had this issue and sent my mixer to a repair shop. They diagnosed it as a faulty poteniometer pot. This was according to them a know issue due t the design of the Pots Pioneer use. They replaced the pot and it now works fine...

To keep your levels down keep the TRIM don which is the gray knob. Also keep the hi, mid, and low knobs at the medium level. The control cables are for using the fader start function.

Pioneer djm 500 trims not working properly

The rotary controls / pot's (especially "low") on DJM500's are nototious for becoming dry jointed, usually a quick resolder of the legs / connections sorts them out.

Pioneer DJM-400 mixer turns on, but channels aren't working

could be a few things , what have you tried to trouble shoot the problem ?
My steps would be ;
check all leads (even if you KNOW u pluged them in)
check the gain is set corectly .
check the line phono slectors are set to what ever you have you leads pluged into on the back of the mixer ( there is 4 red and white RCA plugs , 2 for phono,2 for line CDJs shold be using line )
if you are using digital cables to conect your CDJs , on the back on the mixer there is a small switch marked "CD or digital" make sure that is sleceted "digital " . if ur not using digital cables make sure it is on "CD" .
the info iv put here is based on the DJM-800 so your mixer my not have some of these featers as iv never used a 400 . hope this helps dued . check out www.djtutor.com for more tricks and tips . Pratices'N'enjoy !

Pioneer DJM-600 Bad feedback when i turn up the master volume

It's not your ground wire with the issue, but your RCA cables. Try disconnecting both turntables, and connect 1 at a time, and do the same test, this way you can isolate the problem. Once you've isolated the problem, then you'll need to have the RCA cables replaced on your turntable.

You might also want to check the Cartridges as well. Sometimes a bad cartridge or headshell connection will cause this issue. Worst case scenario, its your tonearm, but that should be test last.

Also, on the rear of your mixer, there is a gain volume pot, make sure this is not maxed out. Keep it about 3/4 of they up. Again, this is on the rear of your mixer where you connect everything.

Master channel problem

There is a master gain volume on the rear of the unit. Make sure this is not maxed out. Keep it between 1/2 to 3/4's of the ay up.

If this does not solve your problem, your going to have to give me more details. What do you mean when you say "moved off 0 peaks red on left"? Do you mean that when you lower the master volume, the left signal is still hot (red)?

Pioneer djm 600

There is a master gain volume control on the rear of the mixer, where you connect everything. Make sure it's not down.

If it's fine, then maybe them being outside caused an issue. How cold is cold? If your talking freezing, then maybe there is some issues with the solder on the pc boards. You'll have to take it to a service center at this point.

I would say, try connecting a CD player to all the channels, and try from there. If it's still the same, then you need professional help.

Pioneer DJM-600 black Professional DJ power on but not working!! i check bouth the fuses and are working i can see that is power in te mixer but no answer with any signal of leds or music signal

So you get power to the unit, but no sound coming out? How about through the headphones, do you get sound coming out of the headphones?

Are all the volumes and gains raised up? All the eq's are up? Check the back of the mixer, there is a master gain volume - where the connections are - make sure this is up also.

If nothing, then you'll need professional help at this point.
