What's your problem? My Acer Aspire One says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". The problem is there is no boot disk available unfortunately.

Wow, this usually means:
  • there is no hard drive, or
  • operating system or
  • key files in windows are corrupted or
  • your disk has been damaged or has a mechanical failure.

If your computer takes 25-30 minutes to boot up, you have obvious windows or hard drive errors or corrupt data.

You can check this hint on disk errors but my guess is you have lost your disk and all the data. You might be able to put the disk into a second computer and retrieve some data.

I feel my is too slow when i start.. even if i click any buttons or in screen then it vl go to not responding state.. after a lot of time back , it will come to normal.. it takes time atleast to open...

ok one possible cause is the corruption of the system, if your windows was been failed to load before and you have just reset it or pressed the button to turn it off, then their is a big chance that the system file of your windows might be corrupted. Try to run chkdsk under safemode environment. Type on RUN>CMD>under CMD environment type CHKDSK /R wait until it finish, it takes a while to finish because the system is trying to fix lost clusters or corrupted files. Hope it helps thanks.

The laptop shows windows system 32 configuration file corrupt error how to run laptop?

Hi

Windows system 32 file is part of the operating system and when it is corrupted, you cannot boot up your computer. I suggest if you had a systems back files, use it to recover the missing file. Just load the back up disk CD/DVD into the CDROM, boot up your computer and run it to CDROM and option will display and choose the repair.

If don't have the systems back up disk. Only solution is to reinstall or repair your operating system.

For reinstalling and repairing, insert the OS installer CD in your CDROM and boot up your computer and run the repair or reinstallation process. Follow the procedure.

What causes" ntldr"?

NTLDR fail is either corrupt files or a bad disk drive. Check my tip for how to repair software. If it is a hardware error, don't use the computer and get it to a local shop that can recover your data and replace your disk drive.

Dell Inspiron 8200 won't continue start up

This stop error means that your ntfs file system is corrupt (damage in the file system, bad hard drive data, corrupt SCSI or IDE drivers or a corrupt ntfs.sys file).

How do resovle the problem.
There are two ways,

1, If you still can access Windows, try to disable any backup programs, virus scanning programs or disk defragmenter tools. Try also to run a hardware diagnostics tool to detect any errors your hard drive might have. And run chkdsk /r to detect and repair any file system structural damage.

2, If you are unable to load Windows. Then you should try to access your ntfs partitions by making a ntfs boot disk with NTFS4DOS (freeware). You can download it from http://www.geekswhoknow.com/files/ntfsinst.exe You will need a floppy disk.

After you load the bootable floppy disk onto your damaged system, select either option one (1) or option three (3). If you selected option one (1), type chkdsk /r at the command prompt, and your problem should go away after the disk has been repaired.

Note! Unfortunately there is a chance that your partition is corrupt beyond repair and all of your data is lost. In that case, you need to reformat the partition to be able to use it again.

Good luck!
