SOURCE: problem
The sensor it refers to is the density sensor located inside the machine via the right hand door. Open it and clean the large sensor in the middle. If this doesn't work then clean it with a soution and a soft cloth.
Thanks J
SOURCE: officejet d135 - "Supply Expired" error message
HP, in order to sell more ink, monitors the expiration date of the cartridges installed. Solution is either to buy a new unexpired cartridge from HP or to disable the date monitoring built in to the printer. This latter is done by removing the button cell located inside the D135 printer on the left hand side or by simply slipping a thin piece of plastic between button cell and metal contact. You will no longer have date function on printer, but it won't object to expired cartridges either.

No guarantee this will fix your problem, but the last time I experienced this problem it ended up being one of the toner cartridges. I replace her refurb. toners to OEM brand.
SOURCE: HP OFFICE JET PRO L7500/L7600/L7700
my hp office jet pro l7500 indicates the ink has expired in all cartages but the cartgages are new because they were just put in . Before the same error code came up and so bought new cartages. Also the door to the cartages will not stay closed without tape.
