Re: dead n95 while upgrading same problem
When you were upgrading the phone i hope you checked compatability and had a fully charged battery as this can cause the glitch you are describing. tthe only solution is for the phone to be flashed using a nokia flasher. i do provide that service if you cant get someone locally to this. my personal email firstname.lastname@example.org
shop on ebay is 4onesexpress-07802458019

Hi i have htc g1 mobile and i have a problem with the start-up when I tried to turn on the mobile the first logo was T.Mobile G1 and than it turned on to the second logo androd.after those two logo a blank screen came and near the battery it came warm and on the screen nothing happens.
You should try to install NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATE to ur phone to install the new firmware .It is just software problem not any big to worry. You can go to any nokia center to reinstall the firmware and got ur phone A1.
have you tried connecting it to a pc and using the nokia suite program if youre computer reconizes the hand set ur o.k failing u will have to reflash the set with a new program go to (www.gsmhosting.com) register and use the guides this is very good and helpfull
First, check that the something is actually displayed : Turn off the phone then put it on charge. Check to see if the NOKIA logo appears even if the display is unlit. (try angling the display towards a sunlit window).
Having charged it, try to turn it on.. Do you detect the vibration the phone makes when starting up?
If nothing is displayed but you get that vibration I suspect that the display is somehow damaged and you'll need to look at replacement.
You local nokia centre should be able to provide you with a quote for the repairwork otherwise if you're confident opening it you might be able to replace the screen with one obtained from here for example: http://www.accessorylink.co.uk/search.asp?Action=search&Keywords=N95
it may have been caused due to an operating system bug, which could be resolved by upgrading your firmware to the latest which is v21. nokia recommends having ur firmware at the most updated version as they release alot of bug fixes with each firmware upgrade.
okay, when did this happen? did it happen right after a firmware update? trust me the same happened to me!! i "bricked" my phone, all mine did was display a faint nokia logo and nothing else, and it would slowly turn of after the battery was removed!! if you could tell me when/why/"after what" did it do this? but don't panic! i got my phone fixed next day as it was under warranty free of charge, as long as you haven't played with the interior or faffed about with the settings or poured any thing on it u should be fine!
ill keep in touch as soon as u tell me more info!!
