I have a presario C700. the monitor has lines going through it and when you move the monitor all the way back it will work or if you tap on the computer it will work for a minute. Any suggestions?

Please connect your laptop with an external monitor (LCD or CRT) by using VGA cable, and check it is working fine or not, If it work's fine we can confirm that your Motherboard and graphics are OK, and you may want to change your Display only, If the secondary display behaves same, It will be a Hardware problem... you may have go to service center..
