if you are not skilled with taking things apart do not try this, take it apart and see if there is somthing lose or broken. if there is just go on the internet and find a replacment part and put the replacment in and see if it works.

No 1 Dont take your unit apart no matter who tells you too... In the process of tampering with your unit you have just VOIDED all liabilities to microsoft...
No 2 Contact microsoft to see if there is still a extended warranty on xbox 360. It may cost you just the shipping and handling to get a unit fixed at no cost to you, but only if microsoft is still honoring this agreement.
No 3 Register you unit before contacting microsoft so that it will be on file, it help you in the long run.
No 4 if the unit is used return to store before 7 or 14 day return policy runs out and ALWAYS ALWAYS pick up the used warranty at time of purchase, such as gamestop/ebgames for 40 bucks guarentees One Year Coverage @ any reason except self destruction to product

mayb you should use a PSP, since a nintendo ds doesnt play UMDs o_O
