I have a Sony DSC-W1 camera. The flash stopped working recently. There is no error code, and all the flash symbols can be set as normal. The flash does not fire in any mode.

The voltage on the xenon tube and the 2 capacitors are about 240 volt which is normal .

I replaced the xenon lamp but the problem persists. Should i perhaps change the reflector as it is part of the triggering ?

I've got a Samsung Digimax 530 thats worked we'll since I bought it in 2004 and now - no flash (Well about 2% of the time it will flash) I've had this camera long enough I know it inside an out- Its not a setting.

The flash on my Canon A620 started flashing overly bright for the first flash, then fine for the ones following. And it also refuses to flash. I changed the batteries, no change, put the original batteries back in, the camera flash started working again (after the first overexposure flash).

Where do I take the camera for a flash repair? Or would it make more sense to just get a new camera?

I have a nikon coolpix. i've tried every flash option yet the flash never goes off....

i took it to a repair shop and he said i'll need a new flash circuit and it's going to cost

$130 to replace it. i don't know much about cameras, but is this high? also, would it

be better to just get a new digital?

Usualy the flash is soldered into the unit. Are you sure its on? some pop up and some have to beflipped up automaticly. Does your display show a lighting bolt? the normal icon for flash being on is a lightning bolt. If it has a line threw it it is disabled in the settings somewhere. Ive never seen one that has failed so it makes me think there is a wrong setting somewhere. Try and hold it up maybe there is dust or dirt o the switch keeping it from detecting it is up and ready for use?

Where is the fuse box 93 ranger. Fuse for turn signal

The bulb may be burned out ! If the turn signal illuminates ,but does not flash. Then the rear bulb is out . If it does,nt light up , then the front bulb is out .

My left turn signal was flashing fast. I checked bulb in back left. Turn signal good but bulb below it was out. I changed that one but turn signal still flashing fast. all other bulbs look good. ??

If the front and rear bulbs flash fast also, replace the hazard switch or you could live with it. As they are working. If one doesn't work, check grounds. I just run a new ground, much easier than cutting open the harness to find the break.

My right front turn signal wont work, the dash board light came on telling me i need a new bulb i put one in and it still does'nt work . I checkd all fuses and they are good , me right rear turn l

are you sure that you put the right bulb in? Some of these bulbs look very similar, (like a 3057 and 3157 or 3156) but they are different. A customer came in with this problem and the problem was that they put a bulb with a single filament in when it was supposed to have a dual filament. the bulbs looked the same and they just grabbed them off the shelf instead of asking the parts guy what their vehicle called for.

I have a 1995 chevy cavalier and the turn signals just stay on and don't blink. I have changed the flasher and the multi function switch and still no luck

First, is it doing it on BOTH isdes or just on one side? Example: turn signnals flash OK when turning left, but only come on and stay on when turning right. If it is doing this, then you most likely have either a blown bulb or a bad bulb socket on the side that is not flashing. You need to check both the FRONT and REAR bulbs to make sure they are all functioning properly.
If it is doing it on BOTH sides, then you either have a bad flasher, or at least 2 bulbs burned out (one or more on each side).

Are you sure you replaced the correct flasher? The flasher for the HAZZARD lights is plugged into the convinience center under the left side of the dash. If this is the flasher you replaced, it is the wrong one.
The turn signal flasher is mounted to the driver's knee bolster bar near the steering column. It is held to the bar with a clip. (see diagram)

BULB REPLACEMENT FOR 60-CT4

The front window should be removable to access the bulb, if the bulb or the contacts for the bulb aren't it, it may be internal and be that the light control circuit is defective. When it does work though, the flash is the correct brightness, right?
