Open the mic and take off the hole pannel, you will see plastic like clips that you just need to press out.
Be cearfull not to bend the new pannel, they brake like nothing...

Good luck.

Error code showing

Unless there is grease or moisture on the control circuit board, error code "SE" means you have a shorting membrane keypad.
On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so the control panel frame assembly (which comes with a new keypad) would have to be ordered and replaced. It's actually a pretty simple DIY repair.

It is part number W10258189 and you can get it for about $129 (subject to change) from the Pros here.
There is also a video here showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad as per the photo below.

Then move your circuit board into the new frame. Be careful, the display is made of glass.

Maytag Over the Oven Microwave Model MMV5100AA display shows "SE". All touch pads are inoperable. There IS power to the unit.

"SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

You did not give us the full model number. It will be one of these:

MMV5100AAB
MMV5100AAQ
MMV5100AAS
MMV5100AAW

On these models, you would need to order a control panel frame which comes with a new keypad already installed. It's a simple do it yourself fix.

You can look up and order that part from the Pros here, our favorite supplier. If it's not in stock immediately, they will have it to you in a few days.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

My maytag microwave keeps beeping it will not let me set the time or warm up anything. it keeps showing SE where the clock time should be

"SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On some models, you can replace the membrane keypad.

I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved. It's here.

If you would like to have us do this repair for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs nationwide.

On some models,
the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

The microwave does not operate and shows an F2 code. What is the problem?

F2 on a Whirlpool / Maytag microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On some models, the keypad has to be peeled off and replaced, but on others, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame.
That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

Please make a new post with your full model number and we can tell you if yours is one of these models, and if so, we'll also give you the part number you need to order and a link to the best priced supplier.

Either way, we can let you know what your options and costs would be and send you other helpful info.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Or feel free to contact me directly
(and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

Microwave turns on & control panel is frozen. F2&PAN error codes

You have a shorting membrane keypad. If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame.

That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

Your keypad has failed.

It would need a new control panel frame, which comes with the keypad.

You simply remove the circuit board and plug it into the new frame.

It is part # FPNLCB070WRK0 and the best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.
