SOURCE: I have a Canon Pixma

The answer to this question is yes you can do it but it is a messy complicated job. What it means is that the ink pads are full and need replacing. Sometimes you can reset the counter but I have found that it is not worth it as you could end up with ink flowing from the printer onto your carpet.
The simple answer is to replace the printer......They are so cheap today that it is not worth playing around with.

Paper sticks in top feeder tray.

I'm guessing by top feeder tray, you are referring to the manual feed tray.

If the paper is getting stuck midway into the printer, and you have taken the time to clear all paper jams, torn piece of paper, paper clips or staples that might act as an obstacle to the paper path, then usually the problem is a defective or non-operational optical sensor.

I had this happen to me on a Brother MFC-8840DN recently. I took some compressed air and pointed the air at what I felt was the area of the optical sensor. This helped blow the paper dust or loose toner powder from out of the optical sensor and the printer began working again just fine.

If you're not sure where the optical sensor is, after you have removed the toner cartridge and drum assembly, just spray compressed air over the entire area. You might wish to wear a dust mask or do this outside to prevent inhaling any paper dust or toner.

The small optical sensor usually has a small plastic arm attached to it with a flapper that moves in between a small "U" (The emitter and receiver are mounted in the sides of the U). This arm can get broken or jammed.

If cleaning the optical sensor doesn't work, then probably you will need to replace it. You can call Brother Customer Service at 877-436-2665 and see if they can give you the part number and sell you the part. If you can access the sensor, generally replacing it is pretty easy.

Let me know how it goes and please vote a Thumbs Up if you find this answer helpful.

I keep getting an alarm and it is saying document in ADF. There is nothing stuck in it, I've tried everything!

You could have a stuck or broken document edge sensor. There is usually a small lever that the document pushes down when you slide it into the feeder. This lever should move smoothly. If it is stuck down or broken the unit will think there is always a document in the feeder.

Some units have two sensor levers, one sensing the leading edge and one sensing the trailing edge when the document exits the feeder. If either one is stuck you could get a jam error. If both levers are working (if you can locate both of them) then one of the sensors may be bad (they are usually optical pair sensors inside the feeder housing). Of course, if the sensors are good and you still get an error the main board may be bad, but that is fairly unlikely.

Most likely is that there is something jammed into the feeder at the exit or where the document enters and it's pushing on one of the levers.

Xerox 3200MFP... The alert to open door and remove paper will not go away after i removed the jam.

There are a couple of paper path sensors that pop out of their mounting on those machines. One is in the fuser, the other is on the upper plate above the paper feeder.
The best way to get to the one above the paper tray it to remove the drum/toner. Remove the paper tray and lay the machine on its back. Then look above where the paper tray is and most likely you will see a small actuator and sensor that have poped out of its mounting. I would recommend that if that happened, using a little of a rubber cement on the tabs of the sensor just to keep that problem from reoccuring. That is not uncommon for those sensors to pop out and not clear the jam message.

Try to update the Firmware, or check the sensor of the feeder could be out of place and doesenot recognize the paper.

I have a Copystar CS-2020 and it is showing error code A-O 410 on the screen what does this mean

Document Processor communication problem. This is due to a faulty ground connection.
Open the doc feeder lid, check the left hinge. There are two versions of grounding tab: a small one and a bigger and better one. Both attached by a screw.
Twist the small metallic tab that grounds the hinge with doc feeder metal frame in order to create better contact. Worst scenario, the doc feeder cable has a broken ground wire at the holding strap (inside the back rear cover of the feeder, which is hold in place by plastic clasps. If you are handy you can solder the wire ..
