I can't find a listing for the model you posted since it is not a US model. I do know that it is likely to be either LA7837 or LA7838. Check with a Sanyo parts distributor in your area. They should be able to get you both the Sanyo part number as well as the generic number.

You have bad grounds in the horizontal or vertical area of this TV. I have not repaired this model. I have repaired many of these, in other TVs. You will examine ICs mounted to large heat sinks. Find the vertical IC and resolder pins here. Check the horizontal Transistor (mounted on heat sink as well) and resolder this. Resolder any of the large transformer coil pins as well. Be sure to resolder the Flyback Transformer pins. And lastly look for bad capacitors (capacitors will bulge) and their grounds as well. Heat is the big problem in any electronics and solder will separate the pins from the traces and cease circuit flow. This is slow and tedious work on one hand but an easy fix for the experienced. Thanks for asking me!

10 yr old TOshiba rear projection ultravision 55inch screen shrinks vertically (top to bottom about 15 inches) when first started, when hit it sometimes goes back to full screen.

This sounds like poor solder connections at the vertical IC. If this is corrected soon, there will be no other problems. If left as is, the IC will eventually fail. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. Look for a small flat IC with about 11 pins attached to a heat sink. It will be marked LA7837 or something similar. If you post the model number, I can give you the exact part marking.

Kep me posted.

Turned on the tv this morning and heard a pop, now we got sound but no picture.it's a mitsubishi vs-50803 model

A real comman problem with that set is vertical IC will blow, burn a hold in the board itself, Part Number is a LA7838 Vertical IC, located right center mounted on a heat sink, and will about seven legs on the IC,, on defection board.Remove back and see if that IC is in pieces?

Mitsubishi Vs-60705 Bigscreen turn on vertical roll warms up stops rolling and begins jumping up and down also picture is not clear

Check C2P05[ location on convergence board]. This is a 16volt 100Mf cap that is bad. And check out C2V29 [cap value is 16volt 22 Mf.] And still while you're at it, resolder the pins on the convergence ICs.Should fix your TV!

Sound But No Picture

The problem as you describe it usually means a vertical problem for a standard TV and the solution is either to resolder the pins of the IC or to replace it. I am not familiar with the board layout of your model, but there should be a small flat IC attached to a heat sinh with about 9-11 pins. It may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Try resoldering the pins first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC.

Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present even with the set unplugged.

Toshiba 2938xp crt tv vertical deflection fail and i want diagram

I don't have access to the manuals for your specific model, but vertical failures are usually the result of poor connections at the vertical IC or a defective IC. Look for a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 9-11 pins. It may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Resolder the pins first. If that doesnot resolve the problem, change the IC.

Tv has a line going thru the centre of the screen when i turn it on its like the whole picture has gone into a thin line

This is a problem with the vertical circuit and can be either bad connections at the vertical IC or a defective IC. This is a common problem and is easily repaired. The vertical IC is a small flat IC attached to a heatsink with about 11 pins or so. It might be marked LA7837 or something similar. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on that IC first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC. Expect the IC to cost about $15-$25 depending upon the exact one. It is possible that some of the capacitors in the same circuit are defective as well. Once the IC is replaced/resoldered, report back here with the results and we can go further if necesary.

JVC Interiart 32" Digital TV. No longer turns on. Has a thin horizontal line across screen when TV is on. No picture.

The thin line indicates that there is no vertical. This is usually controlled by a single IC (vertical IC). Look for a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with 9-14 pins. It may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Try resoldering the pins first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC with a new one.

Sony tv no picture only horizontal line

The probable defective part is the vertical IC. If changing that does not resolve the problem, check the capacitors in the same circuit. Also, check for the proper voltages at the vertical IC. If the IC is not being fed its power, it won't work either. I don't have a listing for your specific model. If you can post the vertical IC part number (LA7837 for example), I can list the voltages per pin.
