Waste Cartridge Full

We recently purchased a Xerox Phaser 7760 and after only one day of printing it has stopped and displayed "Replace Waste Cartridge." I find it hard to believe it needs to be replaced already but can't seem to get around the problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The answer in nit to call the warranty guy. We want to know how to reset the waste cartridge. If I empty it out and put the same unit back in the printer how do I tell the printer "this is a new cartridge? There must be a work around.

Empty the unit by hand. Wear a good mask and gloves. Remove as much waste ink as possible. There is a clear plastic sensor window on the bottom of the unit that sits between an infrared sensor when installed. You need to get that as clean as possible. Do not loosen the screw above it. A strong vacuum, air blower or a few taps can help. Don't forget to clean the laser window with the supplied brush. If all else fails, buy a new one, it's only $26.

The optical sensor looks at a small compartment, that has clear walls; when the waste toner gradually fills the container, it eventually reaches the level above a "wall" between the main container and this small compartment, spills inside and makes not transparent anymore. Some toner might have gotten there and the sensor gives a false full signal. You can get rid of it by cleaning this compartment with compressed air.
Obviously, the sensor might be plain broken as well, but the above is perfectly true - it saves the day when the printer stops and we don't have a new waste container... I pour out the toner and clean the inside thoroughly with compressed air, especially that small look-through compartment.

Al parecer tienes otro problema, ya que yo tengo una de las mismas impresoras y nunca e cambiado este cartucho, solo lo vacío y lo vuelvo a colocar sin ningún tipo de inconveniente.

You have a warranty. Call and have it fixed asap. Sounds like the sensor popped out.

I replaced waste cartridge in Xerox 7750, but display panel still says cartridge is almost full. Can I reset it somehow?

There is an optical sensor above the cartridge where the small clear window is. It may be covered in dust. Use caned air to blow out the area or try a q tip to clean off the sensor.

The accumulator belt on my 7760 phaser is giving a past end of life message. How can I find out how many copies it has remaining?

Try printing the full status sheet. If you print out all the setting it should cover all the information you need to make your judgement.
Good luck.

I have xerox phaser 7750 by mistake i bought 7760 yellow toner shall install it to 7750

Not yet, check with the supplier and ask if it is compatible with the 7750, if not then exchange the 7760 for a 7750 yellow toner cartridge. Once you open the cartridge the supplier will not exchange.

Xerox Phaser 7760 prints white diagonal lines across the page. The pattern is pretty conisitent. It starts white on the left side of the page and white remains till the right end of the page. I have...

Are the white lines in one color or all colors? If it is just one color you should try cleaning the laser window. Open the front cover and in the cover there should be a cleaning wand. Remove the waste cartridge and use the cleaning wand to clean the laser windows located behind the waste cartridge.

Message waste cartridge is empty / not installed at xerox 6100

For this machine I don't think there is a reset, but it is tempormental about the light that shines throught the back of waste cartridge.

Copy and paste this link directly into your address field, and see if you have it inserted correctly and then reboot.,/?St=666,E=0000000000024654785,K=7760,Sxi=13,Solution=obj(20783)

Replace waste cartridge on Xerox Phaser 7400

I just fixed mine. You need part #604K47890 Gear Coupling Assembly Kit. Cheapest I found was $6.99 at plus $13.95 s/h. Remove the waste cartridge & you can see the white plastic gear. I tried to disassemble the printer (using service manual) in order to replace this part. Good luck. It looks like you need to take the WHOLE thing apart. Easier method is to get a drill or dremel & grind away the thin metal to make the whole slightly larger. Just be careful with the dust/particles. I did this & it worked perfectly.
