Ford blue tooth connection with my LG viewty phone
I recently upgraded from a Nokia N95 to an LG Viewty phone on Orange. I have a new-ish Ford car with the built in Bluetooth phone connectivity which allows me to make handsfree calls via the on-screen display and steering wheel controls in the car. It works very well.
Or at least it did on the Nokia, but not on the Viewty. I can pair the phone with the car, and I am able to make and receive calls OK provided I select the contact or enter the number on the phone.
But the ability to view the Contacts Book directly via the Ford on-screen display is no longer available. I thought it might be an issue with storing contacts on either USIM or phone memory, but it doesn't seem to work for either. It's also odd because, at least according to the Ford website, the Ford contact book integration is compatible with other LG phones.
It might be a bit of specific problem to LG & Ford integration, but any help is appreciated.

Re: Ford blue tooth connection with my LG viewty phone
Get a symbian phone update from ford website. some symbian phones need to have their operating systems updated with a 'SIS' file. it allows the car to retrieve the contact list from your phone. All symbian phones are ones that do not run on windows CE, or Iphones. Symbian are phones such as nokia, sony ericson, LG etc etc

I just got my blue tooth ear phone to work with my laptop, sounds like you want blue tooth car to pickup on your phone speech and sound. You probably have to enable blue tooth on your phone and connect to the bluetooth receiver in the car. Probably be good if blue tooth receiver is on so phone sees the signal, that's the way mine worked, it showed that device, I clicked it to connect. Hope that helps.
The phone button on a 2008 f150. This button is only a mute button and when pushed it displays NO PHONE. this is an on going design with ford, it is for a blue tooth phone. ford sells the hand free set up for this and is an added feature. you can buy this for about $600.OO . Call your local dealer and ask them about the kit. some trucks came with the blue tooth set up option with the step up radio system. hope this helps . good day
Your phone has to be capable of blue tooth.Go into menu on car and phone for blue tooth.Set the car to discover or your phone and the phone will say discoverable for 30 seconds then the car or phone will say pair enter number. This number usually is 0000 then the car will say LG or what ever type of phone you have and you are done every time you get into the car it will automatically sink with your phone as long as blue tooth is turned on in your phone. Any one hooking their phone to your car will be number 2 If they drive the car and you are not with them their phone will hook up. You can by house phones that do this. You come home lay your phone down and your in another room the cell phone rings. You can push the cell phone button on your house phone and answer it or make a call from it . It will ask you on the screen if you want to use the home phone or cell phone and it stores your contacts also. If this helps please rate it

When u want to pair your bluetooth phone the first time, you must do this in the first 30 seconds after ingnition. This is the only period your audi bluetooth carkit is in search mode. Follow these steps to make it work:
Put your bluetooth phone in search mode, then start your car. Your phone will now detect something like AUDI UHV-1 or similar. Connect to this device, and enter either code 1234 or else code 0000. Your phone will then connect. Command your phone to keep the Audi device listed as a save connection, which can automatically connect. The next time you enter your car it will connect by itself (after ignition that is).
Car should be under warranty. First stop is to the dealership. Sounds like sync software issue. You may need to wait until an update is available. Good luck.
