I have vestax 05pro2. Left channel works but out of one speaker. The turntable input is good. Im thinking Its either the channel fader, or the rca inputs for that side. Has anyone had this problem?

Hi,
Here's a solution to see if you have a problem with either your receiver or turntable.
The turntable has 2 RCA's one red for right channel, and one white or black for left channel, which plug into the back of the amplifier.

  • Unplug both RCA from rear of amplifier.
  • Plug in a cd or dvd player into those inputs on the amplifier, the sound will be lower but it will give you an indication if the amplifier is ok or not.
  • If you have sound on both channels left and right then the amplifier is good
  • If you still only have sound on left channel, then there is a problem with the right channel input on the amp.
  • If your amp, is good, unplug the cd /dvd player.
  • Put a record on and start playing the record
  • Plug the white or black RCA from the turntable into the rear of the amplifier marked left, you should have sound.
  • now unplug it from the left and plug in into the right red RCA socket, if you have sound the amplifier is working fine.
  • if there is no sound there may be a problem with the stylus cartridge on the turntable
  • now lets reverse the test
  • unplug both RCA from amp.
  • Plug the red RCA into the left socket on amplifier, if there is sound, turntable is working fine, if no sound there is a problem with either the stylus cartridge or that red RCA cable.
  • now unplug the red RCA from the left side and plug it into the right side socket
  • if there is no sound there may be a problem with the stylus cartridge or RCA cable.
I hope this helps

Need to replace the headphone cord to my Sennheizer HD 495 headphones. Please help.

Buy a cable direct from Sennheiser, almost $10 less than eBay sellers! Link: http://shop.sennheiserusa.com/retail2002/ProductDetails.aspx?direct_cat=Parts&direct_prod=091581

I just got a vestax vci 300 but there's no bundled software... where can i download the software and drivers for it?

Where did you get the Vestax from? The bundled software with the Vestax should be serato scratch itch which a special version of serato built for the vestax. This can be downloaded here:

http://www.serato.com/downloads/itch

I havent downloaded the software myself but I should imagine you put in the serial number of your vestax in the software and off you go. I doubt you would have to pay for it if you own a vestax, but I maybe proven wrong.

Headphones only have left channel on Denon AVR-588 Receiver

Hi peroty,

Two suggestions for you.

1. If you look at the headphone jack connecton do you see one or two black O-rings or black lines on the jack. If you only see one they are Mono headphones and you would only get sound out of the left side. If there are two black lines they are stereo headphones and you should get sound on both the left & right sides.

2. If after checking the headphone jack connection and there are two black lines on it then I would suggest try a different pair of headphones to see if a different set of headphones works fine.

If a different pair of headphones works properly the original headphones may be bad. If neither set of headphones work properly it may be the reciever that may need to be repaired.

I hope it's not the receiver, but let me know if you have questions.

My sennheiser hd 212pro headphones has only the left side speaker working, the other side has no sound. i pulled them apart to see if anything had come lose and nothing has, i dont know wat is wrong with...

One speaker element may be blown or wiring may have internal break. It may be cheaper to relace the phones rather than having them serviced, unless they are still under warranty

I cant use my headphones on my bcd 3000.why can it be?

Do you have the manual for your device?
I believe you are looking for manual pages 10 and 13 which explain that the output channels 1/2 or 3/4 can be chosen for "master output" and the other for headphones output. Have you set it up like the manual states with 1/2 as master out and 3/4 for headphones?

Connecting wireless headphones

You should be able to get a cable with your headphone jack on one end and the standard left and right RCA jacks on the other end from just about any electronic store. Carl.
