Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
Hi, peeps, this printer holdup was a devil, here’s what I do--- Re a Vista-converted HP F380 (originally for XP) program disk which I bought post-purchase (I only bought the printer at that time for the color copier use), then later obtained a laptop with Vista. Although that shouldn’t play into what I found out, thought I’d mention it anyway. I have found that you should NOT do a restart via the Start button, or the troublesome document is held in the queu. COMPLETELY DO A COMPUTER SHUT DOWN, I let it then rest for 5-10 minutes. To be sure of cutting off the blood supply, also hit the OFF button of your printer (so it clickety-clicks and shuts down on its own and you don’t dry out the printer cartridges), then do the USB and power cord removal from the back of the printer. Fresh start your computer, then reconnect the USB and power cord to the printer, hit the printer ON button. Works for me.
