Camera not working
Didnt mention your OS.
Well,Try a fresh installation of Windows xp SP2 or so.
Using Windows Explorer folders section/pane you will see USB Video device.
Clck on it and the right pane will show USB initialize and Camera connect. Notice the Camera led come on.
Next, go look for the correct USBVideo driver, oribicam or so.

I have had a similar problem with my acer aspire 5100. Windows update decided that my webcam needed to be updated, but it broke it. The only way that I found to fix this was to do a system restore to a previous date.
System restore can be found under accessories, system tools, system restore. (It does not remove any files/documents)
