I have a power mixer biamping 16 cha 300W, 2 - 8 ohm speakers, that prematurely shuts off, after 3 minutes of running from the start. After a 10 seconds rest I turned it on again, took only a few seconds running and shuts off again. But when I opened and use an electric fan focused at, where several power transistors 2pcs of BD 241B, and 4 pcs of MJE 15030, 4 pcs of MJE 15031 and 2 pcs of BF 760 and 2 pcs of BF 757 that were closely mounted on the heat sink. it runs perfectly without interruptions, provided the electric fan is running at full speed..

I have this amp as well, I am running 2 61/2 alpine and I think that they are 6 or 8 ohm speakers. I am running a factory deck that calls for 2 or 4 ohm speakers. It worked for about 20 hours and now it shuts off after it is on for a couple minutes. It is not evenwarm to the touch but still shuts off. I tried a different source, mp3 player, and it does the same thing. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

It's shutting off for a reason. What speakers are you trying to run? Do you know what impedance they are wired for? Where is the gain set? When bridged that amp is only stable at 4 ohms mono and will/should shut down at impedances lower than that.

Crainemy la690 amp is mounted between 2 15" BOSS speakers in a custom built box. it is hooked up with 8 guage wire system and has a 30W fuse. it is overheating really bad and don't know why? do you...

You need to look at your wiring of the speakers and the Ohm rating on your speakers.
Below are the specs of the amp. You have the Tri-Way amp and the switch that controls
which way it configures it's output is critical. If you are powering just 2 speakers you set the
the Tri-Way to bridge only. Problem is, I cant find a manual. Legacy's site ( Manual Coming Soon.I say call them and ask for a manual to be emailed to you or mailed.

I need to know the size of external fuses for a american legacy amp 2000 watt 2 channel 1990

25 to 30 amp fuses will work great, anything lower could possibly blow a fuse when a good bass note hits even if there is nothing wrong with the amp. Hope this helps.

    Amp problem

Have you checked the fuses on the amp?

Have you confirmed that you have both B+ and remote voltage at the amp?'

When measuring the voltage, place the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp.
