I have a power mixer biamping 16 cha 300W, 2 - 8 ohm speakers, that prematurely shuts off, after 3 minutes of running from the start. After a 10 seconds rest I turned it on again, took only a few seconds running and shuts off again. But when I opened and use an electric fan focused at, where several power transistors 2pcs of BD 241B, and 4 pcs of MJE 15030, 4 pcs of MJE 15031 and 2 pcs of BF 760 and 2 pcs of BF 757 that were closely mounted on the heat sink. it runs perfectly without interruptions, provided the electric fan is running at full speed..
When bridged that amp is only stable at 4 ohms mono and will/should shut down at impedances lower than that.
