I have a fine pix z85/z90 camera the user guide is of a very poor quality. I cannot read how to up load pictures to my camera. I can't figure out how to use the usb cable.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My problem is i cant down load my picture to the computer any more

IF you have plug-n-play capabilities, you also need a USB cord that goes from the camera to the computer - Many have USB ports on the front, now.

1) Plug the USB cord into the computer.
2) Plug the USB cord into the camera.
3) Turn the camera on (some cameras have a setting they need to be on to transfer pics - make sure you're set on that)
4) The computer should find the appropriate drivers and programs to read the pictures on the camera.
4a) If having them on the computer is enough for you, make sure the "delete when transfer complete" box that will be in most programs.
4b) Make sure the pix will download to the folder you want them two.
4c) if you want to make an album/folder for the set of pix from the camera, do so now (program prompts should show you how. If not, hit "HELP") - I usually just use the date in reverse - Feb 20, 2008 would be "20080208" - keeps 'em sorted in order.
5) Click GO, SUBMIT, TRANSFRER, or whatever your program calls it.
6) Turn off camera when all are downloaded.

The program should probably open the folder into which you downloaded the pictures.

I may have missed a step or two, but it should be fairly easy to figure out. You can leave the USB port cable plugged in, if you have enough ports, then all you need to do is connect your camera and turn it on.

thanks.

How do i put the pictures onto the computer using the USB cable??

If you have a computer running Windows XP, Vista or 7, just plug it in to the computer and turn camera on. The computer will automatically install the camera. Then just go into Windows Explorer, and you should see the camera named there. Click on it and get your pics.

My Fuji 1500s 10 Mp camera will now power on when USB cable is connected. As per the upload instructions on the monitor, I am to plus the USB cable into my computer, then into the camera, then power on the...

You need to turn on the camera while plugged into the USB port. Then pull up the Windows Control Panel. Next go to Scanners and Camera Icon. You should find an icon there with the camera listed. Do a right click and check on Actions. You will then select "run this program on connection" and then select the Finepix Viewer. Turn off the camera and then turn it on and the system will now connect you to Finepix when the camera is connected.

Fine pix s6500 fd camera

first thing i would do would be to make sure you plug the cable first into the usb port with the camera off then turn on the camera, see if it is recognized by the computer. If not the next step is to check your usb driver to make sure it is working. Try some other usb device. If it is recognized then i would make sure you have seated the memory card properly in the camera as well as the cable. I know that sounds dumb but that little usb cable to the camera has to be well seated. You may have to update your driver for the usb port.

Disney Pix Max 3.0 Megapixel Camera by Digital Blue can't download photos

If you're plugging the camera into a port on the front of your computer try one of the ports on the back. The front ports in most cases only provide 100 milli-amps of power whereas the back ports provide the full 500 milli-amps of power. This could be the problem or it could be your USB cable. Try a different cable and see if that makes a difference. Just make sure that you aren't plugging it into a USB hub and you're connecting it directly to a port in your computer.
