Do you have a Frigidaire washer? Frigidaire uses the E20 code to indicate that the pump can't remove the water from the machine.
This could be a problem with the pump but is more likely to be a blockage in the coin (and other debris) trap. Unplug the washer. If your washer has an access panel, remove the two screws and pull off the panel. Otherwise remove the entire front or back panel or access the pump from the bottom of the washer. Get a bucket ready and remove the two hoses that connect to the pump. (These are held on by hose clamps.) Pour any water from the hoses into the bucket and catch any water from the pump itself. Check the trap on the discharge hose for foreign objects and remove them. Look around the pump, the impeller and motor and remove foreign objects from there as well. (Usually the items are things that were left in a pocket or the underwire from a bra.)
Reconnect the hoses and close the panel of the washer. Plug the unit back in and set it to the drain and spin cycle. See if the error has been cleared.
If the error persists, then there is a problem with the pump system or sensor.

thank you larkinator.. that totally fixed the problem as far as i can see right now, I am letting it "wash" a load of nothing. it was a bunch of BS how they hid the filter... I had to literally take apart my whole machine. :-) but its fixed, THANKS!!!!!

remove filter and clear any debris in there and check impeller is turning ok.
