Question about Zenith D52WLCD 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
The television is plugged in and receiveing power. When I press the power button the Operation Indicator LED starts flashing orange like it should, but the picture and sound never comes up. The LED will flash for about a minute and then the TV will shut itself off (the LED will go back red). Now it doesn't do this all the time. The television does work when it wants to. When it does work the picture and sound are excellent. I called the local service center and they suggested that it is the bulb. I'm wondering what you guys think.
You probably have either a bad lamp or ballast board in the set.

Hi Check the standby power supplies, then the run supplies, then the h-driver circuit, then the H.O.T and flyback circuit. And in general look for bad transistors, diodes, capacitors, resistors, faulty solder connections and etc. BE ADVICE!!! if you don't have any repair experience and electronics knowledge leave it. Take it to an experienced tech or a service shop. Good luck
