That motor is located at the base of the backrest unit. It operates a lead screw drive that positions the kneading/tapping motors and rollers. The motor is controlled by the PCB unit that covers the length of the back of the massaging unit. Human Touch will not sell individual replacement parts. They will sell only the entire backrest assembly for $600 plus $60 shipping. It can be replaced without tools in less than five minutes.
