How do I stop my aav 8000 washing machine from making a rattling noise in spin cycle? It's on level ground ;-\ I disassembled some of the washing machine and the noise is coming from a metal par

It is so common that the washing machine can maketerrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it isimportant that your observation is most important and so is vital to theidentification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine isvibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to beinspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine itis important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manuallyturn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, thedrum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions whichinclude the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to bein correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of themounting is also very important. Finallyin most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solvemost issues.Check this link : replacement of bearings check for tips on thisvisual link:

Wahser makes loud noise trying to stop spin cycle It seemed to spin ok and agitate but made terrible noise when trying to stop

Take the belt off and run the motor alone if you hear a high pitched squealing noise to check for motor bearing damage or wear. If you still hear the noise without the belt, it's the motor bearing. but more than likely its the brakes, or the belt itself ,, a solinoid signals the machine to stop which in turn applies brakes just like a car only smaller, when these wear they tend to do the same as a car and squeal , its just an indication your machine is up for some maintenance,

I would suggest that your only option is to call for a service engineer as we would not be able to diagnose or help you from a distance ;-0(
Good luck,

Making noise when running

It can be tempting to ignore washing machine noises, especially if the machine is still working. But washing machine noise is not only annoying, it can also be a sign of serious damage. When armed with a few tips, you can determine what problem may be causing your washing machine to rattle, and what you can do to stop it.
Instructions: 1)Check for drum bearing failure if your washing machine is noisy on the spin cycle. Drum bearing failure is common when the bearing seals start allowing water to enter. You can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand, and if the drum rumbles, replace the bearings. 2)Turn the drum by hand and listen for loud noises. If the drum itself is split or the 'spider' is corroded, broken or has come apart from the back of the drum it will create a loud noise on every turn of the drum. (When the bearings have gone bad, the noise is constant the entire time the drum is spinning.) 3)Look for obvious dents and creases in the drum or look for coins or small objects stuck inside the tub underneath the drum when a horrendous noise is made while clothes are in the tub. 4)Clear the water pump from obstructions like coins or small objects when a noise occurs while the washing machine is emptying water. 5)Remove the sump hose and look for bra wires if you hear a light scraping noise when the drum is turned by hand. You can also check to make sure a wire isn't poking out of one of the holes in the drum. In this case, you can pull the wire out easily with pliers. 6)Take the belt off and run the motor alone if you hear a high pitched squealing noise to check for motor bearing damage or wear. If you still hear the noise without the belt, it's the motor bearing.

When my washing machine is spinning it makes a terrible banging noise! and i cant get it to stop. also, the legs of the washer are stripped and i cant adjust them so one is higher than the other one

it sounds like the balance springs inside the washer have come off or broken if so when ever the washer spins it jumps about and the drum inside bangs around to check if the springs are broken open the washer door and try to lift the iner drum up if it lifts a lot the springs are off or broken to help get it level try packing out the leg with a small strip of wood (ei: a bit of ply wood) would do to stop the washer from tipping its that or if you can get the striped leg off put some steel washers over the threds to pack the leg up

Whirlpool Duet Sport not running it makes clicks and it grinds

A common problem with noises from washing machines has been the under wire that may come out of small clothes. In the washer they can get stuck in one of the inner basket holes and make a scrapping noise, they can actually make there way into the pump and jam the pump, or make a terrible noise when the pump is running. Grab a flash light and have a peek inside the washer for this. Front load washers seem very common to this happen! If the tiny cloth is showing signs of fraying, may be best not to wash it in the washing machine, replace the cloth.=======
It's noisy Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Machine won't work. kenmore 90 series

Might be a broken motor or a blown fuse. I would suggest having your machine looked at by a specialist. If it's old, you might consider replacing it.
