No disc error dvd

You need to try cleaning the lens of the player. If that doesn't correct it you might have lens damage.

I have a sherwood cdc-5090/c/r multiple cd player - it goes on error when using open/close, disc selector, disc skip. have tried troubleshing guide but doesn't seem to work.

The problem is in the CD loading bays, quite often the gears will ware over a period of time causing error messages because it is unable to complete the cycle. The second issue is the timing gears go out of sink because one of the CD'S gets jammed against the other causing it go out. The repairs are tricky because of the timing issue, however if gears are stripped the whole CD bay must be replaced.

Keeps on pausing when playing cds tried using cd cleaner cd

It does not necessarily mean that the lens of the player might be dirty when you experience this kind of problems. It may be as a result of a weak lens or damaged disc.
You can try getting a disc with a clean face and try to see if it does the same thing. Also, make sure that you use a soft piece of cloth to clean the face of the disc before playing. Try to do this as gently as possible as it would help to remove some amount of hitches.
Also, the lens of the player might be weak and require replacement. In this case, no matter how you use the cd cleaner, it is not going to help unless you replace the lens.
Lastly, the recording of the disc might be bad and may require you to purchase another one. Sometimes, some discs have bad recordings and cannot play without hitches. This is a fault that comes from the production and not from your disc or player.
The best way to avoid these hitches are by doing the following.
1. Keep your discs in a clean and dust free environment.
2. Make sure you always keep the player closed so as to protect the lens from dust.
3. Ensure that you play disc with clean surface as scratched surface could result in a damaged lens.

My dvd player won't load disc or cds. tried cleaning the lens with a disc cleaner and it still won't load. its my lens right?

seems like the optical pick-up (lens) is worn out. replacement would solve this problem rather cleaning dont helps in most cases.

I have a kenwood MIDI M-45 /MIDI M-757 audio system. The CD player won't play. The disc loads but error comes up NO DISC, can you help????

The cd unit is not reading the disc, the laser pickup may be dirty, or the pladder motor that cd sits on may be defective. If you can get at the laser pickup lens, clean it with rubbing alcohol with a Q-Tip very carefully in circular motion and allow several minutes to dry.

My Bose DVD player now says "can't read disc" and won't play any dvd's.

Hello,

how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).

The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load Cd's. The weak lens is also what's making it says "can't read disc".

Get a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.

By so doing your player would play all Cd's with no problem at all.

Good luck.

How do i get the cd player to work i have a 24 disc cd player model number TAD-9625 M-error

m-error means mechanical error, it is caused by faulty gear and lever assemblies under the cd loading carousel . it is very hard to get to those so i do not recommend this repair to be attempted by non-technicians. i fixed lots of them, it was the most common problem in those units

Im getting a display message on my cd player saying no disc, but there are discs actually in there.it will pick the disc up but it will not play any of my discs.could you please help.

Try using a lens cleaning disc and see if that helps, if not, it will need service by a professional. The most common reason for that error is a bad laser pick up in most cd players. You never gave the model number or who makes your cd player so there is not much more that can be offered.
