You can reinstall the sound drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so: Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Acer Crystal Eye Web Cam and install it
Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/ Select the computer model Select Operating System installed on your computer Click Drivers Select WebCam (Acer Crystal Eye) and download it. Once downloaded, install it on your computer.
Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you
select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers you
that require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on your
laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
At this point I would suggest you to reinstall the Webcam drivers, to do so, please follow the steps below:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> install Application & Drivers> Select the appropriate Webcam driver (Sukiyan, Chicony etc) and install it. Then try using the Webcam.
The program that Acer uses is called "Acer Web Cam", it also sometimes goes by "Crystal Eye". look for it under programs. If it is not there, you can go to the Acer support page, put in the model of your laptop...it will be in a sequence like Laptop > Aspire > 5315. It will then ask for the operating system on the laptop. It will give you a list of drivers and software. Choose the WebCam software it specifies and download it. Once it is downloaded, doubleclick on the file and the installer will run. It will then place a webcam toolbar on either the left side ot top of the desktop. You can move the toolbar wherever you like once it is complete. The link is below. Make sure to look at the tabs because you will need both the drivers and the application. If you are unsure which camera you have download them all and will install the camera you have and ignore the others.
In order for you to utilize the web cam you first have to download a piece of software that supports the web cam. And if want want to use your web cam for pics be sure the download will support that as well. Some downloads support chat and web cam only and some do both.
