Sounds like a bad diode in the alternator. You can get the alternator bench-tested at an auto electric rebuilder shop to verify this.

What should the voltage be going to the IAC valve of a 95 Chevy C 1500

I don't know; probably about 5 volts but you will need to check on that - I just wanted to mention, as the idle air control valve is generally adjusted by a stepper motor, while the voltage supply is important it is probably less important than the frequency of the pulses.
Depending on how it is wired/operated, a stepper motor wouldn't move far if a constant direct current is applied - it is pulses of current being sent to the different windings of the motor that make it move, though with typical vehicle wiring the motor is probably provided with a fixed voltage to a common point and the motor likely moves as the computer grounds each winding in turn or as required; hence the pulses that are best viewed on an oscilloscope...

Hi i have a 97 chevy k1500 that i decided to do something crazey with and i put a 383 stroker in it when my 350 to a **** on me . I did as much research as i could and found out through the machinest that...

This is a hard question without being able to actually hook the pickup to the computer or run any tests on it, but if I had to take a wild guess I would have to recommend that you check all of your grounds. If you have a bad ground it could possibly cause these problems. I hope this helps you out, and good luck

Im trying to dx my alternator problem, i want to check the fuse first where would i find that.i looked in the manuel but theres's not a fuse labeled alternator fuse(chevy trailblazer 2002).

That's because there isn't any. Use a voltmeter and measure the voltage on your battery, then start the car up, if the voltage doesn't move or goes down, replace the alternator. A normal voltage should be 12-12.5 Volts with car off and 13.5-14 Volts with the car running. Have a nice day!

I have a 97 Chevy Venture Van with a weakening fuel level sensor.

No it's not, if your van is running fine, fuel pump is good, just the fuel gauge sending unit is bad, to repair, the gas tank will have to come off, the sending unit sit on the same hanger the fuel pump is on.

97 Town Car Limo wants to stall after big group gets in.

If its killing it self off blowing up the suspension have you checked it for leaks seeing if its just constantly blowing through a hole. Being a limousine owner my self I know if you have to much running at once such as both ACs, Music, lighting etc it does get rather upset when you ask it to power so much at once.

No timeing marks on a chevy 383 stroker engine

you could bring it up on tdc on comp stroke and make your own mark on crank pulley and block then at least you know where tdc is and google some 383's that have close to same equip as you and see what degree they are running or just play with it and see how it runs .
