I have a HP VISTA laptop still under guarantee but it working very slowly when I start it up and when I change to do other things. Can you help me please? Jean Major

If Hp does not have a drivr to support it then you are out of luck unless you find someone that hacked drivers to work with it. If they have Windows Vista drivers, you can try those but they are not goign to guarantee to work.

not all equipment from Xp works with vista or 7. Xp is not the same OS or even same breed as Vista/7

I GOT HP Pavilion dv 6915nr.... with windows

how did you format you computer? if you didnt delete the recovery partition you can start recovery to press F11 when bios starts.

HP should also be able to send you recovery disks for vista.
Im sorry to say but warranty doesn't cover formatting the disk, that is not a hardware failure

Where to find drivers for presario c727US notebook PC for WINXP

This was the same problem that I found when I double checked the site for you. The only thing that I can figure out is this:
Your system is so new that there was never any drivers for your components. The components have never been used in any system before. This laptop has the GM965 Chipset on the motherboard. That chipset is very new for laptops. Desktops just upgraded from that 965 chipset to a couple of higher chipsets. This 965 chipset is designed to work with Vista. They did not plan on anyone trying to use XP with it. This makes it cheaper for them to make new things. It is like when you try to upgrade from XP to Vista. Some things do not have the Vista drivers. This is easier for the companies to focus on a new market.They do not have to spend money on figuring out how to make things work on so many other things. This in turn makes it a better price for you. Here is your manual by the way. Here is your BIOS information.
You might get lucky with these drivers. I found an ASUS laptop with your chipset in it. If it is the same components they could work. Stay away from the BIOS update. It will screw your laptop up if it is not your BIOS.
You can check through these for a 965 chipset driver. This is COMPAL.
This is bad in your situation. But it is also a good thing. You have a brand new system that has a new line of components.
. Be sure that you never use your laptop on a flat surface. It needs to always be propped up with a fan blowing under it. They make laptop coolers and stands for laptops. This is because all laptops cool from the bottom and they get very hot. If you want it to last for a long time you will do what I suggested. When a system gets hot it will start wearing the components out quick.

This did not solve your problem at all. That was because there are not any XP drivers for your system. The only thing that I can tell you to try is this - Call HP and ask them if they have any more drivers for your system than is on their web site. The thing is that HP did not build your Laptop. They designed your laptop but had another company build it. I hope that it was built by ASUS. ASUS is the best company that makes laptops. If they made it, then they might have the XP drivers. This is what a lot of people do not know. Go here and it will explain what I am telling you.
I hope that you can find some XP Drivers for your system. The manual explains what type of sound and wireless chip should be in your system. I did a lot of research for you. I hope that it helps you.

Plz Help me to Install my Modem

The Presario v2000 has an Agere Systems AC'97 modem. The drivers for this device are not being supplieed anymore. the manufacturer for the modem says it does not work on Vista.
Some website, like this one, distribute the driver, saying that it wis working on Vista. But I cannot guarantee they work, it is likely they wont work on Vista.
If it definitively does not work you can buy an external 56k modem, like this one here or this other one.

On the computer click the START button. Select "Run..." In the box type services.msc. When the services window opens select Print Spooler. Click "Stop" under the Action menu. Then click "Start" under the Action menu.

Faulty backlight hp laptop

Well, first off, do you get a screen (external or onboard) if you boot into the bios? If you have no video whatsoever, the only thing that would start working again after time off, then stop, would be the video module went. slowly, but it went.

Main cause is overheating, caused by the heatsink/fan becoming clogged up.

What makes you think the backlight was the problem BTW? Sure it wasn't just the inverter?

Let me know if you can access bios?
