All of a sudden the controls won't work - It powers up but none of the buttons do anything - I can't even turn it off! I have to unplug it or take out te batteries. ANy Ideas for a solution to this problem would be welcome thanks!
This is a PARTIAL solution...
I've found that if I partially remove the SD-Card, then push the power button, it then starts and continues (without freezing) to show the meters and shows "no-card", then I push the SD-Card fully and it then shows "Loading"...
From there, it can be operated. But if I try to power-up with the SD-Card installed, it freezes and ceases to obey any buttons; which requires to remove the batteries to turn it off.
Please be aware that removing OR installing the SD-Card with power-on is NOT recommended, BUT is THE ONLY way my R-09HR now can be operated. I'm contacting the factory to solve this, but in the mean time, I had to record a live concert that I had promised to get recorded, so I tryed everithing and discovered the reinstallation of the SD-Card as the only thing that allowed me to get that concert.
The SD-Card that I bought for my R09HR is a Kingston 16GB. good luck, give it a try.

assuming you the "hold" button on the right side in the lower area was not engaged?
