I have a Poulan 810EPT electric motor that has worked great but now my attachments won't slip and lock into the end of the shaft. Can't see any obstruction except maybe the flexible cable on the attachments won't go into receptacle in the motor shaft.

This sounds like the flexible drive shaft inside of the main shaft has a stripped ferrule. In order for you to fix this, you will have to take the main shaft off of the motor housing and pull the flexible shaft out of the inside. The replacement part number is 530056570 and should be about $12 to replace. Call the number on the unit to order replacement parts or go to your local sears.

Front end wont engage even though it will go from high range ito low range

Does the front drive shaft turn? Maybe the hubs aren't locking in. If the hubs don't lock, then even if the transfercase is functioning you still won't turn the front tires. Hope this helps, Shaun

How to remove clutch on poulan pro

One way is air operated impact wrench. If you don't have access to that particular tool, you can take the sparkplug out and slip in enough rope so engine will not turn past top dead center. It will lock the crank shaft enabling you to loosen clutch nut without harming anything on the engine. When done, pull rope out, reinsert sparkplug and you're ready to go.

I cannot remove the rear wheels on a Merit Explorer S341, to fit new tyres. Is there an exploded view of how they are attached to the drive shaft . are special tools required. Any assistance in this matter...

Ian should be attached to the axle with a bolt just remove the bolt and the tire/hub will come off the axle. Now if the hubs are rusted to the axle and the tire and hub won't come off easily then you will have to resort to using a tool to wedge between the motor and the hub I use a tie-rod end tool works great you just have to beat the hell outta it sometimes to get them off. Be carefull and work on it till you see some movement of the hub moving up the axle penetrating oil might help if you have some Hope this helps

I have a Poulan 14"

Inside the fuel tank, there is a small flexible fuel line with a float (or sinker) attached. The float (or sinker) is supposed to keep the end of the fuel line submerged in the fuel. The float (or sinker) may be detached, or stuck, or it may be saturated and won't float (if it's the floating kind).
Good luck, Al K

I have (had) the Poulan Pro 25 cc trimmer. The motor and main shaft have been nothing but problems for me. I still have the attachments. Do you know if there is a way just to buy the main shaft/motor? ...

Sure you can...that would be called the crankshaft assembly. You can find it here...along with any other parts you may wish/need. These low-end trimmers are practically considered disposable household items nowadays and a lot of people treat them as such. Look for the crankshaft assembly here:

I am a little surprised at the lower cost.
