I am getting a F7 error code and beeping on my Jenn Air Oven. When this happens the only buttons that work are the cancel button and clock button.
then i have to program the clock in order to use any other buttons. when i first plug in my oven i get a flashing # 56 then the oven starts to beep and then i see the F7. i press the cancel button and then the clock button, then program the clock in order to use any other buttons. this will only last for a few mins. until it starts beeping again. How do i attempt to free a stuck button and if that is not the problem should i start with the clock assembly first or the touchpad?
I have a jenn air SVE47600F.It just started beeping and giving a code 7.None of the controls work when it brings the code up,but controls work fine when code is not there. We have to turn the breaker off to reset it.Sometimes when we have been gone all day we'll come home and the range will be beeping and flashing a code 7

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F7 on your range means that the keypad is shorted or stuck and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the Electronic Range control (ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
On page 23 Also called page (1-3) you will see a test procedure, do that first then check the fault code page. Page 26 will detail what the fault codes mean. F- means there is a fault between the communication boards (replace display board), while FC says the same thing but the result is the different and says replace the PRB. What this tells me is that the problem isnt the board or prb, but that moisture in the area is causing a short, and should be cleaned out with alcohol. If the error code were constant, the board would be bad. In your case, it changes after replug, so I suspect that a thorough clean of the control board area will be all thats needed.
This is your ERC ( electronic range control) that has gone out on this unit. We are factory authorized Jenn-Air service and parts supplies and we LOVE the Jenn-Air brands. Our house is full of Jenn-Air appliances, also.
replace the entire range: Jennair does not know how to design, make, or program electronics. It makes steel boxes that provide heat but electronics - that's not within their ability. Buy a Kenmore or a GE and your beeping problem will go away.
