it sounds like it could have a processing problem or the game was shut of during loading that can cause alot of ps3 problmes

This would be due to a bad optical dirve inside. You can replace the optical laser or get a new drive around $150.

try cleaning the disk with a soft clean piece of material, i use screen wipes

Sounds like a problem with your blu-ray drive.

Try playing a blu-ray movie and a dvd.

a patch is getting released tomorrow from sony to download and they told me it would fix all disc reading problems. hope this helps you
