Sanyo DS32920 Blue Screen

The screen on my 32' Sanyo television sometimes goes blue, while not affecting the sound of the show or video Im watching. The picture sometimes comes back in, sometimes not. I can hear all of the shows, but the picture is hidden under this blue screen. Any suggestions?

Re: Sanyo DS32920 Blue Screen

Go into to on-screen setup and turn "Video Noise Muting" off. It sounds like you are tuning into a noisy signal so the TV 'thinks' that there isn't anything on the current channel and makes the screen blue. Also, try to get video input from Composite/S-Video. - Video Noise Muting also 'blues' a noisy composite/S-Video signal.

That set is probably not ready for the dump yet. The buzzing sound could be the power supply going into shutdown because of a shorted secondary supply, usually a shorted horizontal output. A good tech should be able to fix that at a reasonable price.

SOURCE: Sanyo HT32744 Picture mostly green and blue

On mine I took the rear cabinet off, unseated the card mounted on the picture tube, applied a little dielectric grease on the connector on the card and reseated the card, removed, re-greased and reattached the card. I have had no problem with either my or mom's which I did the same to since! This is an easy fix that anyone can do. The hardest part is moving the TV and reassembling the rear cabinet. Do not pull the cabinet back out more than you have to, to ease the reassembly of it.

Intermittent pixel scrambling on screen (have AT&T u-verse/ Sanyo DS32920 Flat panel 32" TV)

Usually the result of a weak or interruption of the signal. If it occurs on all channels, look into getting an inline amplifier. If you have several splitters going to different tv's or a multiple splitter, the signal is degraded each time the signal is split. You can test this be temporarily making a direct link to the TV from the cable source. If it clears up, then you know you need to amplify the signal.

Toshiba 32a43 32' picture garbled mess

If you can get the tv to display the blue blackground(usually happens when there is no antenna or cable feed to tv) check to see if the whole screen is a solid blue, if it shows discolored areas around the screen then you might have to "demag" the screen. See if you can rent a demad coil from a tv shop and with tv on turn the coil in circular movements all over the front of screen till blue is solid.good luck!
