The wire itself is just glorified lamp cord. Go down to Radio Shack or the hardware store and buy 100 feet of 18-gauge lamp cord and make your own - cheap.
Maybe bring the unit down to an electronic store and see if they have any compatible ends to match the proprietary outputs.
There are a couple whole non-working SD-V55's on eBay for under $60 delivered. If you check with the sellers to make sure the have the cables maybe you can work a deal.

From what I've seen asked for proprietary cable sets, these would be bargains.
