Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3c Cellular Phone
I bought PCTools to recover pix off my old cell phone. It seemed to recover some files, but can't open them. I complained and they said the files must be damaged.
First thing to note is that the deleted data on the phone will remain there until something new is saved and overwrites it. This might not happen immediately but eventually, after continued use, it will.
Either connect the phone straight to a PC using a USB cable (if supplied with the phone) or take the card out and put it in a card reader attached to the PC. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Then try some photo recovery software on the PC. This should recognise the phone or card and then you can scan it using the free download of some good photo recovery software. That will show you what files still exist on the phone or card and what can be recovered.

Another photo recovery software recommendation:
Card Data Recovery, it can recover deleted photos, video, audio and documents from hard drive, memory card, memory stick, etc.
It has two versions separately provided for Windows and Mac users. You can download it from here:
Card Data Recovery for Windows
Card Data Recovery for Mac

DO NOT Panic. There is a chance that you will be able to get back some or all of your deleted digital photos, provided those deleted photos were saved on the external memory(card or stick) of your phone.
First things first: DO NOT take any more pictures with the memory card that you want to recover photos from.
Quick Internet searches will reveal a tremendous number of programs, find this one called Wondershare Photo Recovery is quite nice with both Windows and Mac versions provided. It should help you. Download the program here,
Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery (for Mac OS X)
How to perform photo recovery?
Take the memory card from the phone (powered off) and connecte with your computer with such photo recovery software installed. Then follow the recovery steps instructed by the progrm, best regards.

All right! You can try another photo data recovery freeware to take chances:
In fact, this photo data recovery freeware had helped me a lot as the Samsung phone of my friend was accidentally formatted. Its special "Format Recovery" option finally restored all his wanted photos, contacts, messages and the likes back. It is really worth a shot!

Maybe you can try other tools like the Hodo photo recovery. It can recover lost, deleted or formatted photos, music, video files and other multimedia files from digital camera, external hard drives, laptops and desktop, USB Drives, and memory cards.

Hi there, your deleted photos could be recovered and you need to stop using the phone now.
You need Windows card data recovery to help you recover all lost or deleted photos. It can recover photos after deeply scanning your memory card or computer to look for lost files you accidentally deleted or formatted. But once the deleted files were overwritten by new ones, they are gone for good

You do not have to pay for it until you have previewed the photos that have been retrieved.
