Food Processor

I am the manager of a group home for disabled adults. We bought a B & D Food Processor "Power Pro II about 3 months ago. I am required to send the receipts to our fiscal office, which I did (not thinking I would need a copy). We were using the food processor last week and all of a sudden we smelled smoke. Something in it started burning. So we unplugged it and won't use it again. Is there any way, I can get a new one even though I dont have the receipt.? (Prior to this the plastic 10 cup container broke (a piece broke off of the top portion) but it wasnt so bad that we were going to replace it.....I thought B & D was an outstanding company but this makes me question it. Can you help me?
