That means that the security level is wpa-psk on the router, but your pc only supports wep, you need to change to wep security in the router settings for this 16 digit pass code

Hi,
It seems to be BIOS password, if you don't remember or don't have the BIOS password you have to reset the password by opening your CPU cover and removing the CMOS coin battery, this will reset the BIOS password but dont forget to return back the battery and start using your PC.

I couldn't find the exact owner's manual for your machine but found a similar Casio. The process is as follows:
  • Press PGM key
  • Press 1
  • Press subtotal key
  • Press 2 digits for the year,month, and day i.e. 09 05 16 (May,16 2009)
  • Press x/DateTime key
  • Press c key
To change the time, proceed as follows:
  • Press PGM
  • Press 1
  • Press subtotal
  • Press 2 digits for hour (0-23) and 2 digits for minutes (0-59))
  • Press x/DateTime
  • Press c
I hope these instructions help with your problem. All the best!

Problem logging on as administrator

******************************************************
1. Place your Windows XP CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (it’s assumed here that your XP CD is bootable – as it should be - and that you have your bios set to boot from CD)
2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd”
3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now
5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.
6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”
Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP installation (if you only have one, it should already be selected) and press R to begin the Repair process.
7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which can take several minutes.
8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”
9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.
10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.
11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. Voila! You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.
12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on without being asked for password. After you’ve made your changes close the windows, exit the command box and continue on with the Repair (have your Product key handy).
13. Once the Repair is done, you will be able to log on with your new password (or without a password if you chose not to use one or if you chose not to be asked for a password). Your programs and personalized settings should remain intact.

I just got a laptop, and i am trying to connect it to tthe router, it's says i need a wep/wap key. where can i find that key?

The wep key has to be created on the router so if you didn't set it up then you need to ask the person who did what it is. Assuming that it is your router and you lost or forgot the key then you can get into the router with a computer that is hardwired to the router. So you plug your laptop into the router and open up internet explorer. In the address bar you need to put in the router's address (Ex: linksys is 192.168.1.1) this will pull up the router menu default login is admin and password admin or root. (if these have been changed then you can push in the reset button on the back but this will wipe out everything and you'll have to set it up again, not preferable.) If you have another router then you can get online on another computer and look these default codes up for your router. If these work then you are in the menu and you can go to security section and create a new wep (or take it off completely again not preferable) make sure to save the changes you have made before getting out of the menu and write down the wep you created or save it in a word doc. Now you can unhook your laptop and try to connect wirelessly when it asks for a wep put in the key you created, reenter it and hit connect and you should be good to go.

If I understand this correctly, Your work's IT people setup your router and you need the Security Password to access?

You should ask your work's IT people for the password.
If you are asking how to break that security key, I'm am not sure you will find that info here.

Too long CD Key

because you didn't say it was a game, you mentioned security, games don't have security as you mentioned in your first post, although they have product keys.

That's why i posted a router security solution.

we cannot answer correctly if you don't post the full details of your problem.

Whoever give you the keycode is who you need to quiery it with.

Can not connect laptop to wireless router computer is asking for Security key or password I will not accept password where would security key be found

The security key is defined in the router configuration. If it is your router, you can enter in the router configuration and, depending on the security mode you select, you can choose your own password.

Of course, if you already defined your password, make sure you're not using other caracters then alphabetical or numerical.

Help

Open a web browser and on the address bar, type "192.168.2.1", on the left menu, click on "security" under the "wireless" option. Leave the box blank and click on "submit", then (don't get confuses) click on "security" again. On the top, you will see a sentence "Allowed Client Type>", and to the right the type of security. Select it your security type (if you are running Windows XP I recommend WEP), and then click on "64 bit", click on "HEX" and click on "Static", then on the "Key 1" box, type your password, make sure it is 10 digits even though most of the time it doesn't tell you (many times it will take the security when is only numbers). On "Default Key ID" , click on "1", and then "apply changes".
